Her art is beautiful.. In her store explanation she says that is brand new to Etsy but she has been selling her art for years. She does not have to tell her Etsy audience that she is brand new. Just emphasizing that she has been selling her original art for years gives her lots of cred.
If I was searching for items similar to what she is selling I would search for tropical wares, beach items, beach decor, coastal vibes, southern palms, vacation towels, west coast tapestry, beach house wares, iconic Hollywood vacation artwork, socal beach waves. palm tree life, summer dream vacation tapestry, beach weddings, bachelorette gifts, beach gifts, coastal gifts, palm tree gifts, red poppy decor, floral decor.
Beachy wall art, beachy room decor, beach lover gifts, ocean art, ocean prints, ocean wall art, beach living, beach life..... so much of that kind of thing being searched!

Her design is quite good, especially since it’s tailored for paintings, which isn't surprising given her extensive experience in that field. However, many newcomers to print-on-demand on Etsy face a common issue: they create a design and then try to apply it to various products. The correct approach should be the opposite-first, choose a product, like a beach towel, and then create a design specifically for that item. Start by thinking about what kind of design would look great on a beach towel. A design that works on a t-shirt typically won't suit a poster, and a design for a mug won't fit wallpaper, and so on.

Your comment of putting the gallery on the right street was a perfect analogy for how search terms and keywords work. When we list items we so often look at it and describe it, but that's not how Etsy presents it to a customer. We have to learn how to properly categorize from broad to narrow like searching through departments and shelves and sections.
This was a really good one. Loved Colleen (such a genuine person!) and her art. I think she has every reason to do well. She obviously is willing to put herself fully into the effort of building her shop. I thought her product videos were outstanding. I wonder if it might be worth, however, making a separate video for each type of product. When hovering over the comforter, the first image that came up was a pillow, which given the short attention span these days, might confuse a potential buyer? Just a thought. Anyway, I really learned a lot. Thank you guys!

you spoke of the banner being the window to your shop and lead magnets, so should the banner have these lead magnets displayed or should they be our feature items?
What are the mock ups she mentioned? Sounded like Bella, but never heard of it.
Lots of bestselling etsy art sucks, people just have tacky taste or buy something for the right message or promoting. For instance, some bestselling tumbler designs are only not ugly, but ignore all graphic design principles (for instance, you can't read the text well), but they are targeted for a specific group, like girl bosses or mom hunters and therefore sell.
That's not true! Alot Airbnb rentals use your coastal variety artwork.
So much etsy art fails to sell ...people want the copyrighted stuff for cups shirts etc and its the same price ...so art loses
