There's a lot of these "SMT experience" videos but none of them have ever summed the game up as well as this one. Regular attacking everything early game, barely moving left stick so you slide around, hitting every fucking obstacle in the Amala tunnels, staring at the Demifiend for an awkward amount of time while you look something up, it's just perfect
To enrich the experience: -Puzzle Boy suffering -Save scumming Lucky Tickets to get Incense -Demifiend having a stroke (AKA Red Temple without Liftoma/Amala Labyrinth) -You said "Yes" to the soul orbs that want to heal you before a bossfight in Amala Labyrinth, and you didn't save -Defeat Ongkyo-Ki in a moon phase that isn't full after a lot of tries and wasted resources, because you didn't know -You didn't save before meeting the Four Horsemen, and White Rider follows the Demifiend like a stalker anime girl with a toxic crush -Last Resort
One of the things that genuinely really annoys me about a lot of Megaten games, insta-kill skills mixed with game over on protag's death. Bullshit of the highest order
I've started playing the game some days ago and I gotta admit SMT Nocturne is one of the best games I played in my lifetime so far. I loved the SNES, PSX, and NDS releases of the series, but Nocturne feels way better. I have around 16 hours in-game so far. In the chapter of Kabukicho Prison. It might be challenging but it's addictive to some extent.
Haven't had a good genuine laugh as such in a long time. Maybe for relating to shared trauma lmao. I defined my identity when it clicked; that silly-ass magnatised sliding punch! JackFrost siccing his "Hee-homies" on you and 'em all dying in seconds, stomping Amala Labrinth to the beat of the tune, and staring into Demi-Fiend's tortured soul for uncomfortable amounts of time... in the Amala Labrinth. Up top my brothers and sisters, we've all experienced this Event called SMTIII!
Shin megami tensei nocturne is the third entry to atlus’s jrpg series shin megami tensei. The game follows a high school boy turned demi fiend (human demon hybrid) after the conception (world resets basically) and wanders a post apocalyptic Tokyo occasionally meeting other survivors of the conception. The game is acclaimed by its fans for its unique and punishing combat with the press turn system as well as the discussion it presents with its endings as the endings follow different ideals that are presented throughout the game with the demi fiend choosing one of these ideals to shape the new world into however he sees fit for the ideal
To add to what others have already said, the reason why we see a lot of punching is because making the MC a physical attack build is the best way to go about in this game, so a lot of us will do a physical build, especially since the MC's best unique skills are physical based. It is pretty easy to oneshot bosses when you get your stuff in order, however, there are enemies that are immune to physical, so then you will have to rely on your party members to dish it out, though if you gun for a very specific ending, you can obtain a passive skill that let's you start hitting through resistances and immunities, so you are kinda the main damage dealer here and the party exists to just support you with buffs and heals. However, we created a monster, and the devs are aware of that, they now torment us in some other SMT games by making the MC here an optional boss, and it is a painful experience...
Glad I played the remaster so I didn’t have to experience fusion skills that way during my playthrough. Just wish navigating dungeons were easier and that encounters were less annoying
What a horrible and terrible misrepresention of this beloved game..... You forgot about the high enemy encounter rates and dumb dungeon gimmicks like pit traps and dark rooms.
Genuinely one of the better -blank- experience videos. Not just getting expelled, but the sliding around from tapping the joystick is what makes it quality.
