After months of comparing used EV's, I just picked up a 2014 B-Class Electric with under 7000 miles in the low $20's. Yes, you can buy a used Leaf for less but the Mercedes with it's Tesla-supplied motor and 36kWh battery is hands-down the best overall value. It's a relatively large car too, lots of cargo space and very comfortable for 4 adults.

Hello Mercedes :-) EVs are still very low on your radar at this time but may I suggest a better marketing name than "your flap"? How about "the awesomeness that is the vehicle charging port"? or the more matter-of-fact, German-like: "charging port access door"? Also, "recuperation" is what you do after a long weekend of drinking. The common term most people already know is "regen", short for "regeneration". Thanks for the video and thanks for making a true Mercedes EV!!

87 miles is not that far...
An electric car don't have ignition, because there is no spark plug and no internal combustion. It's just a on/off switch like any other electric switch.

If this behaves like my 2017 Volt I easily exceed the EPA rating of 53 miles often by 25%. Mine is an urban commuter vehicle. I have a GMC Acadia for highway trips as I need more space. I need to find out if my local MB dealer in St Louis can service these.

Why isn't there an interlock system preventing people from driving off while charging, also why cant you tell the charge while charging the car, and now that Mercedes is making more electric cars are you gonna discontinue cars that you have a hard time doing maintenance on?? ( these are all questions from a 2015 B class owner, not my self that would like to know)

Suggest you never mention "parking" while recharging, certainly not at public charging locations. This is a gross abuse of a recharging station. It's not a parking lot, it's a recharging location, and the owner should move their car when either the time limit is up, or when their car is fully charged at the charging location. The charging location should never be mentioned as a parking spot or parking lot. Refill and immediately relocate so that someone else that needs it is able to refill too.

I still can't understand why the US can't have BLUETEC compact and sub compact MB's... I'd rather have a BLUETEC B-Class
