I really hope this game gets a chance to shine as much as Pizza Tower once it's done; I feel like its vibe sets it apart just enough, but it still is able to hold onto almost everything PT did right. Where PT felt like the embodiment of the 90s (albeit with less gross-out), Sugary Spire feels more like a 2000's reboot cartoon, and I mean that in the best way 💖

aaahkflhg every background is pretty enough to look at, then they went ahead and made an escape version of each one and they all look fantastic. i love that they're leaning more into a horror sorta vibe with it with all the eyes and sharp teeth it's so good

Like, if you look at the background in pizza tower, it looks like the places in ed edd and eddy. Peppibot factory, prank factory, john gutter, the lane, but in sugary spire, the background looks like the rugrats have wacky adventures there.
