I understand the frustration of the director referring to Brandon as a 'she' most times. It's not on purpose or to have any malice. She obviously feels very passionate about sharing Brandons story and the pain he went through. Think about the bravery it took for her (the director) to even make this film in the first place. It was her debut film, in a time that was still difficult to accept. I wish to say thank you to the director and Hillary and all the cast for taking a chance on a different movie (for the time) and feeling passionate about this to take the leap and make this movie for Brandon's sake and for all of us to see and appreciate. 🙌🏻
Every time I watch boys don't cry or the Teena Brandon documentary, I find myself asking the question: what if Brandon hadn't been caught by the law? Would things remain the same or would people eventually find out anyway because of some mistake made along the way... It's impossible not to think of what could've been and the things Brandon would have accomplished had he lived instead...
@@alexconn2675 Teena was not a transsexual. Why did you all believe in all these lies, nonsense about it? Why can't anyone accept the truth about this person? All this is a lot of nonsense. It is the media that have re-created this person. It was this disgusting movie Boys don't cry that introduced people to a big mistake. Why does nobody understand this?
Nope. Brandon Teena was intersex, meaning he had both male and female genitalia. His family raised him female initially, he identified as male and was raped and killed for doing so. Not that hard to understand, so have some respect for a life brutally taken.
Thank you Hilary for using the proper pronounces! HE! Respect him and acknowledge him as whom he were! ❤️
Its 2020 and people are still touched by this tragedy. RIP. You can finally be yourself
Vickie Finney 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Im a naturally born female and I have a Adams apple and I have no clue on why but it's definitely there!!!
@Ray Zu ofcourse . That's exactly how it works.
It’s a He.
It was a girl, not a boy. Stop all living a lie. The person depicted in the film is a myth. This is no boy!
