Wow, very helpful video. Your playing is phenomenal, tone is truly in the hands LOL. They sound almost identical to my ears, so I'd go for the cinders for its price.
@@Tanglangfa Hi! They both tend to be fuzzy when you increase the gain towards max, but as for whether they sound exactly as good at high gain, in the end I think it's just a matter of personal taste. Good luck, let us know!
Great video. I've been torn between the two and I was leaning toward the Cinders because of the price but I really like the sound and dynamics of the Blues Driver. Personally I liked the BD with single coils better than the Cinders.
Think for single coil the TC electronics is better because it's a little fuller sounding... It also has a cooler gain when it's fully cranked. I've owned both. They are both great but I kept the TC. I play a Telecaster so I liked that little bit of fullness
I've heard guys play the BD, but not cinders. Sounds nice in person. My take from the vid - not quite the same even if the architecture is similar. There must be something in the BD that moves the tonal center into a more pleasant or natural sounding part of the spectrum. Buffering perhaps? Cinders sounds nice too, and seems to behave to guitar volume differently. But I have a feeling the difference is found in the grade of components.
Hi! Good point about components grade. I checked the PCBs of both pedals and they are at least both using the same OP amp brand JRC. I wasn't able to identify the transistors. I found some good quality components also in the Cinders. The only way to understand the real differences would be to analyze the two circuits. I appreciate your observations. Thank you for the comment!
They really don’t sound the same at all, I’m not sure how people are listening to this video, but the blues driver is far clearer and has a different mids focus. Cinders sounds a little bit like it has a blanket over it in comparison, but standalone as a pedal it sounds good! I’d go BD2 W though

Hey Man, thanks a lot! You can't go wrong with either one. ⚡
Thanks for the video. It is exactly what I was looking for
Great Man! I'm glad it helped! Thanks for the comment
I thought about buying cinders but after this video I much more prefer BD-2
I have the cinders. I think is sounds identical to one of my Blues Drivers. I have 3 plain Boss BD-2’s they all sound a little different.
wow a lot of overdrives! 🔥
@@VibeAlchemyso I’m really torn between the cinders bc of true bypass and the bd2. Does the Cinders sound exactly as good at high gain?

There's a tone knob.
Blues Driver absolutely smokes the Cinders
It's a great pedal. 🔥
amazing! Thanks!
BD-2 sounds better, though i have the cinder 😂
The Cinders sounds great too, just slightly different 🙌
same here ... lol
This line of TCE pedals is nice. Got the Blood Moon Phaser myself.
But must admit a BD-2 is my fav.
