Day 2 in Kathmandu began with a delightful breakfast at the Manang Hotel in Thamel. The morning spread boasted a many options. For those with vegetarian preferences, there were ample choices, from freshly baked breads to a colorful array of fruits and juices, ensuring everyone left the table content.
After fueling up for the day ahead, the journey continued with the convenience of modern technology. With a few taps on the Pathao app, a cab was swiftly booked to whisk away to the first destination: Pashupatinath Temple. The ride provided a glimpse into the bustling life of Kathmandu, where ancient tradition meets modern convenience seamlessly.
Upon arriving at Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred site revered by Hindus worldwide, the atmosphere was imbued with spirituality and reverence. As the day unfolded, the serene ambiance of the temple grounds offered a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle, allowing for contemplation and reflection amidst the ancient architecture and serene surroundings.
Next on the itinerary was a visit to the historic Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its rich cultural heritage and architectural marvels. Stepping into this ancient square felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by intricately carved temples, palaces, and courtyards that bore witness to centuries of history and tradition.
Amidst the exploration of Patan Durbar Square, the culinary adventure continued with a taste of authentic Nepali cuisine.
