TOOLS NEEDED:
Wrench or socket wrench with various socket sizes 10mm, 12mm, 14mm & 17mm sockets. You'll also need a panel clip remover or flat-head screwdriver. You'll need some friends to help you lift the truck bed.
Our project is finally coming along. So far, we have done all the easy steps in this front-end conversion and Baja style build. It's easy taking off most parts of any vehicle. Toyota never disappoints with how well and easy they engineer their vehicles. Every bolt and clip is precisely where it needs to be and there usually isn't anything out of the ordinary.
Now, removing the entire truck bed can seem like a very daunting task to complete. It's half of the truck, so it just looks like a difficult thing to do. In actuality, it's not so bad. You will need some help to lift the truck bed off the frame, but other than that, it's quite elementary my dear friend. Let us walk you through the steps of removing your truck bed.
If it weren't for the wire harness and the rear bumper, you could probably just get this done by removing the bed liner only. The truck bed is held on by 6 large T-55 bolts. Once these bolts are removed, you can lift the truck bed straight up. Just don't forget to unclip the wire harness underneath the truck bed. Other than that, you need a few strong friends to help you lif the bed up and you are done.

I've seen a couple conversions in pictures but never a video on it being done. Really interested in seeing this when it's finally complete
Thank you! We work on it when we have time but the new videos are up every Wednesday.
Great how to!
Thank you so much!! We're glad we could help.
1st video I see on that. thanks a lot
We'll be putting up a shorter version on the bed removal soon but thank you for watching!
@@ReveMoto thanks man I really need to see that as I want to remove mine.
You were one of our winners for our touch-up paint giveaway. Please email us sales@revemoto.com
I'm working on painting my 2010 tundra just about to hit 400 000 kmh on it
That's cool! We just painted ours Voodoo Blue. Add us on social media so we can see the end result. Thanks for watching!
Hi Thanks a lot for this tundra conversion playlist. Do you realy need to chandge the complete bed assembly? Changing the side panels; gate and rear bumper instead. Wouldn’t work? I want to convert mine 2008 crew max. The complete bed assembly is way too expensive compared with the side panels and gate. Wondering if the 3rd generation panels would fit on 2nd generation bed.
Hello and thank you for watching. No, you do not need to change the whole bed assembly. I believe you can just swap out the new 2014 bed with the old one. We took ours off because we were putting baja style bed on. Please double check the forums but I'm pretty sure it's possible. Let us know if you have more questions!
@@ReveMoto Will research more
Did you post the video of putting the new bed on?
Do you have to take the bumper and tailgate off I have a 2010 and it’s a limited so idk lol
Now that I think about it. You probably do not have to remove the tailgate or bumper. It was also our first time, so we did what we thought we had to do, haha. Maybe you don't have to as long as you separate the gas tank, take off the bed cover, and disconnect the harness. Let us know if it works, thank you for watching!
How much are asking for the bed and bumper? I just picked up a 2010 with bed rusted out under the bed liner 😢
Hit up our team at www.ReveMoto.com. They can help you out
Do you know if the 2014-2021 bed will fit 2007-2013?
Depending on the bed size you get but it will fit.
