Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

Came here to get at least a tiny bit of good news for this game since The Acolyte turned out to be complete garbage.

You set yourself up for that failure. Disney owns Star wars and they have shown they ruin that and marvel on a regular basis

Haven't crashed today, Sunday i crashed 12 times back to back, with only 1 successful recovery. Lost 3 hours worth of salvage in those crashes.
But besides that, we hope 3.23.1a will drop soon, to fix doping, elevators and hanger spawns.
Lorville is especially bad, not only with elevators, but bugged out ship spawns, not spawning, spawning outside the hanger or spawning outright destroyed.
Although that can also happen at any hanger.

It was definitely difficult to do anything last night. Attempted to do a bounty. Randomly blew up on my hoverquad. Went back to my body and couldn't loot, drag, or turn over my body
I haven't had to many issues with crashing. My biggest issues is having phantom ships on landing pads
Same, especially vehicle pads. It takes forever to load.
Thank you for the update Mac, the crashes and server errors have been getting worse, hope they’ve fixed this.
That's probably because servers degrade over time and specifically so during ILW and I'm sure the replication layer is still replicating some issues that cause servers to crash so it just continuously gets worse.
The servers all going down for 3.23.1a should probably bring em all back up to scratch
I know nobody wants to hear this, but there needs to be a wallet wipe after the .23 duping.
Absolutely. And a ship wipe. I worked for hours upon hours to get enough money in 3 23 to buy a spirit. But dupers fucked everything up

3 server errors in a 1 hour period this morning. While the game did not crash, I had to exit to menu each time due to keys not working on the keyboard after the server errors.
I have not been able to play the game that much since 3.23 dropped. I attempted to play a couple of times but the game kept crashing on me and when the servers recovered, I had other random issues like not being able to get off the pilot seat or even re-plot flight course in the star map. Hopefully, 3.23.2 will be better and I can finally put in some serious time into playing the game again.
Hopped in last night after being away for a week. It was rough, with crashes and server error's.
They'll get it fixed.
I remember when I couldn't even play for a month after 3.18 dropped.
I did other things, and waited patiently.

I had a couple of days of constant (every 10-15 minutes) crashes/recovery, but the last few days have been pretty smooth. Looking forward to .1a and even more so .2, for cargo.
I just finished attempting to play, and the game is still lagging, freezing and crashing fairly often.
I've also had server recoveries where many game functions just don't work after the recovery. Including not being able to go into 3rd person view, can't leave pilot seat, can't lower landing gear or adjust wing position.
It just seems like they're trying to introduce more and more problems and blockers.
CIG understands that the money printing stops as soon as the game is feature complete and no longer a dream.
Following this video release I spent 2 hours on the PU.
Had 4 crashes, 2 additional server hops as the servers were unplayable making the claim that there were fixes unnoticed in any effect on the PU.

The PTU past two days does not work well at all. You have spirts of workable gameplay and then crashes which leads to loss of items, a non working inventory, and the inability to hydrate or eat food to stay 100%.
my game is too unstable to enjoy lately .... early in the patch it wasnt to bad for an alpha. Lately i cant do anything without constant crashes. Sometimes i recover stuff other times i have lost all personnel and ship inventory. Last night Tues 6/5 the server crashed multiple times and was unplayable.
When 3.23.2 reset everything, or will we be able to keep our stuff on stations and ships???? Thank you for your time sir.
I've been using monster mounts for about a year, maybe a bit longer. They're excellent and easy to detach from your chair quickly if you need it for other things.
Every once in awhile a patch comes along that's actually playable as a game. Sadly not this one either LIVE or PTU.

For some reason this is the 1st time ever I've wished I was part of evocati. 😂 Just to see a cargo elevator working, so weird.
Anyone know a work around or where i can retrieve a hull c? Docking ports still bugged and stations say this request cant be completed.
it would be interesting if they added, roads, highways, & settlements in the regions around those distribution centers. it would make the planets feal more lived on.
Game unplayable now, needs new system requirements. Tried playing but and game breaking bugs made uninstall and unsubscribe
Havent had any hard crashes since 3.23 release, but this morning have crashed to desktop 3 times so not sure whats going on
Decided to boot up SC after two years or so because I’d seen a few progress videos and it looks amazing. First attempt I did some cargo running which server crashed and wiped out my bank account. Being destitute, my second attempt got me attempting to do some deliveries which got me stuck in a mining station for 20mins while the server decided to have a fit. Third attempt wouldn’t let me get out of bed. GG SC, cya in another year or two.

If you get to test the 3.23.2 patch. I'm curious what the cut-off is for hanger sizes. I have a Caterpillar right now. Would it be worth spending some credits on a reclaimer to increase the size of my hanger?

Spending cash to get a bigger hanger seems odd. Considering in the future, if you purchase a bigger ship in game, your hanger will expand to accommodate it.
It is your money to spend as you see fit. But you did ask.
@@festersmith8352 in game credits. I could spend 32 mil. Like all my credits on one ship or get a couple other ships and save up again later
Also, that was one thing they did say specifically, if you get a larger ship after you get your personal hanger for this patch. it won't expand.

I got the Mostertech desk mount as I wanted the keyboard and mouse pads fixings. I re built my desk eg. used the top of my desk built a aluminium frame so the Monstertech could just bolt to it.
Worked great and my desk can now take 3 people standing on it LOL my PC on a skate board just under it on my left no draws just nice and clean looks great with the Virpil sticks
On AU servers mostly atm, if you hadn’t told me they’d hotfixed on the server end I literally wouldn’t have known they’d done anything.
I haven’t been crashing on the client side, but all week I’ve been enduring frequent server side hangs / 30ks -> recovery -> 30k again -> recovery again, the usual thing we’ve all grown used to by now.
Question for your testing:
They have being showing alot of missiles and torpedoes in their sneaky peakeys being called up and loaded as cargo. Can you let us know if the ballista is now capable of being manually rearmed??
Hi today the servers have been pritty bad since last night things have been worse for me crashed more than ever and bugs i never have had before. Spent an hour trying to find a server i can do some salvage in Pannels not loading ship just flying around without me pressing anything. Still love this game though lol although when the server has crashed i have noticed so many Duppers around can't land sometimes as there ships causing lag
i dont have any crashes besides 2 server errors while salvaging but the recovery did its job and i could continue without problem although i had to reclaim my ship after selling because i was "trespassing" on my own ship ^^
I’m not crashing, the servers keep failing every 10 minutes and then all my progress is wiped
had 1 crash earlier, but recovery ended up with a broken inventory and lag spikes until I logged off after got the ships to safety and stored
If you get into evo build can you go buy a bunch of scrap and try to store it in your hanger to find out how much space we have for storage?

today ive experienced three crashes yesterday 2 in about 4 hours of play
i kept myself out of trouble at I think HUR-L3 doing mining with the prospector. Ive had almost no issues last few days. some longer than normal delays occasionally for breaking rocks, or calling elevators to the refinery deck at the station. I think its more to do with debris, all teh junk that collects up. the replication layer is preserving this rubbish when there is a server error, previously a restarting server would loose all the debris when it restarts, now its preserved, and gathering up taking up all the servers time and resources. the main landing zones and planets - having most of the content, will have all the junk as well.
Players complaining about server performance, while leaving all that rubbish around areas.

1 - 1.5 milliseconds *per frame.* The average frame rate depends on your machine but most players are getting > 30 FPS, which means a frame would be < 34 ms. Saving a millisecond or two there would bump your framerate by 1-2 FPS. Assuming the number is consistent, at 60fps you'd see an improvement of up to 6 FPS.

Refine, load up in my Retaliator with cargo mods. Wait till those 6 shields hum and warm up, and off I go to the nearest TDD. 😊 profit.

I've had one CTD and one bsod caused by the memory leak they still have not fixed.
SC has plenty of issues, but a bsod is a system issue. Likely bad RAM. Could be drivers though. No, it's not caused by SC or a memory leak.
@@Desrtfox71 it was absolutely caused by a memory leak. See when you run outa system ram it can happen and my event log even recorded it as memory issue. My hot rod ain't got no system issues.
@@frogger2011ify It does, or it wouldn't have bluescreened. Sorry, but memory leaks do not cause bluescreens. Windows can kill those without a system freeze/reset ala bluescreen. A BSOD mans the OS failed to handle memory operations and the CPU errored. This can be due to drivers, but likely is corrupted RAM. Considering you only see it with SC, it's likely up in the higher registers.
@@Desrtfox71 your wrong....google it buddy. My ram has no error. It was a memory dump error and when it dumped it was filled up again before windows key DLLs so windows key files got caught in the dump. I am an enthusiast over clocked and have done more work with this PC and every PC I have owned. I have power bypassed cards in the past and Shunted boards, solders new MOSFETs ect. My memory tests out fine it burner tests just fine and ram has never overheated. Electronics don't just go bad, they go bad.over.time from electron migration but their are very specific instances in which this can occur and it is not at the right volt/amps for the to occur. Even my cpu runs 6 watts under the threshold of electron migration. A memory leak that takes up 26gig out of 32 gig of ram when windows and my background programs need 14 created a problem and windows did not handle the dump well.
@@Desrtfox71 also fyi a cpu with a dying L3 cache or a bad boot drive can also cause the issue, so can a dying memory controller. So sum it up as something so simple without knowing much and calling it a system issue when CI comes out and admits the very bad memory leak that can occur with the patch.

I havent crashed at all in the last week but the servers have def been shot!! Kno quite a few people who have been crashing heavy tho! Hope 3.23.1a stabilizes things
AI is still bad in game.
We had one mission where they get spicy. The recover "confidential materials" mission. The server FPS has to be over 10 or they (npcs) act like crayon-eaters, but when you're lucky enough to hit a higher fps server . . . prepare to be hunted. Right now the bunkers seem to be the only way to make money. Mining on the mole is bugged and we haven't had any luck with salvage since the 3.23 patch.
@SnuffitLabs salvage is better than ever. RMC doubled, so I've made a couple million just scraping with the vulture, even more with the reclaimer.
Was doing ship bounties yesterday. Ai was not responding for 2 mins. Then my ship exploded in a second out of the blue.
Yes. Until Server Meshing has been in game first a couple years dont expect otherwise
