I can't believe this. Oh my God thank u brother. Houdini is considered as the most difficult software but u my mate made it fun. I wish u made a new begginers course for nuke too just like houdini cuz I have almost searched every platform but none of them explains like u. Please dude ponder on this too 🙏
Holy moly... Brother, How can I say.... This one Project and your Intro classes Make the Houdini so understandable for me... Hope next time you will make a project like Reining on a road puddle or A ship in the see or a Big waterfall... ha ha Thanks a lot
I have a quick question as someone who's been learning VFX and wants to do this stuff with live action, how long are render times to create these kinds of effects in Houdini? I'm still new to this stuff and I ask because I don't know whether to create and use 3D effects or to carry on learning 2D and the kinds of effects you can make in After Effects. Super interested and look forward to any insights.
It depends on the shot/fx you're working on. Smoke/fire/volumes are usually super fast to render, especially with GPU renderers. Anything between 30 sec to 2-3 min per frame at 1080p I would say. Particles are pretty fast as well. The slowest are water FX, or anything with objects that have refractions or are see through. There are things you can do to optimize but you can very well spend 10-20 mins on a frame.
1:03:20 when i type density in attributes in my Volume rasterize attribute my character doesn't show up. Maybe i haven't renamed something as density in my noise tabs? I rename my bind 2 into density after i simulated. Any workarounds?
maybe the density is too low, drop down a pyro bake volume and set the density really high and check if that shows you the density. otherwise maybe you mispelled density when you exported the attribute or somewhere else
You can follow along with the apprentice versions as well. There will only be some exporting/rendering limitations (this is why I included the renders)
Hi ! Hope u reply to this , i wanned to ask you if this works with animated characters, does it stays hooked to the animated mesh? Big love man and this tutorial is FIRE ! :))))
Its hard to maintain this shape if the animation is super fast. Thats the nature of pyro simulations in general, Probably the best way would be to animate at rest state and point deform to animated geometry :)

Intro to Nuke is definitely something one day!
You're doing an amazing job - keep up the great work. I'm impressed that you're covering every aspect, even including the compositing. Thank you! 👍
Ofcourse! Compositing is half the work!
I love Bleach, and it's amazing to see you do this
Amazing tutorial, keep up the good work. So many great tips and tricks in there and on top of that its very well explained at a good tempo.
Hi, is it possible to make myself burning like that in Houdini? :) Or it can do this only to 3d model?
All you need is a bit of gasoline and a lighter
@@voxyde 🤣
and you,my friend,are the real hero🥰
Thank you sir!
ur not homelander buddy XD

Thank you brother hope its useful!
Best fire tutorial! :D Thank you so much.
You're welcome!
Superb, Ciobanu!
Thank you! Hope you enjoy it :)
Excellent tutorial. looking forward for new tuts :)
Dropping knowledge bombs as per usual
Thats how we do it
So amazing work, thanks for sharing your awesome work!
Where did you find the character?

Hey. I've just faced the same issue. Did you find the solution ?
lol
I've just press D and reverted to default the world display options and it works!
Love your tutorials man! I’m learning alot! Thanks!! Keep em coming
I can't wait to see you using H20 with mtlx, solaris, karma and revamped COPs
Revamped COPS? Interesting. I'll have to start using solaris eventually haha
awesome Bro
r u doing anything that is not possibl with the non commercial/ free versions?
You can follow along with the apprentice versions as well. There will only be some exporting/rendering limitations (this is why I included the renders)
@@voxyde (sorry if thats a dumb question, im bloody new...) but cant i render in non comercial version?
@@bUildYT You can but I believe you have some limitations
Bro, can you working for film clients, if yes how to hire you for a project...
Merci !
Hey man I love your tutorials, thanks for this one!!
My pleasure!
Is this for absolute beginner?
Sorry definitely not absolute beginner! I would say you need around 2-3 months of introductory courses first
@@voxyde how can i learn all fundamentals or basics then i can become intermidiate?
@@learner6010 Hey brother! There's a beginner tutorials playlist on my channel, start there!
@@voxyde ok
@@voxydeWill you updating the beginner series for V20? Also, is a MacBook M2 16GB enough to run Houdini?
I got to be the 1k like. That’s awesome
As it was written.
can you make tutorials with mantra? i love your tutorials but I can't follow the redshift part
waiting for houdini 20 release so we can get the cool karma stuff
@voxyde thank you😁
Great knowledge thanks
Thanks and welcome
Awesome!

When I right click on attribute vop for colour Promotes parameter does show please guide
Use middle mouse click instead of right click (weird I know)
Do you have a fluid tutorial planned
Yes there are ideas! But there's still a lot of on-going projects that need adressing and a lot of information left to cover until I get to flip :(
@@voxyde Looking forward to your flip teaching
