  • Today video is about 3 Healthcare jobs that you can get without certification. These 3 medical jobs are in hospital and they require no license and little or no experience depending on the location. In the video, I briefly go over these 3 job requirements while summarizing their job duties.
    1) Patient sitters work under the supervision of a nurse to provide care for patient care services. The primary responsibility of a patient sitter is to provide one-to-one direct observation of a patient to keep them safe.
    2) Hospital Patient Transporter. With this job, you pretty much transport patients everywhere in the hospital. You transport the patient from point A to point B using gurney or wheelchair and then repeat.
    3) Mental Health Worker. Under the direct supervision of an RN, the Mental Health Worker assists nurses with programs and nursing care for patients. MHW also ensuring the safety of the patients in the hospital and clinic unit.

    I'm a pre PA with a bachelors in public health science... I'm almost done with my education too. But been trying to find a job that would help me get a foot in the hospital setting without getting a certification. Hospital Patient transporter sounds ideal. Thank you (the struggle is real)

      I used to be pre-PA so I understand. Recommend looking what school you want to get into and what you want to specialize in. Shadow or volunteer where PA work. Not all schools require direct patient experience, but it does help.

    Sound ideal for young students living temporary at home with their parents like where exactly do you suppose to live on your own...out of your car struggling with $11-$20. Per hour $25+ is fairly average my recommendations continue your education forward!

    • @JohnPhamHealth

      That why it’s an entry level job. Usually, you want work for 1-2 years before move up your medical career. Also, this salary is before the inflation, so it should be more now. $25+ is a lot to ask for if you don’t have any experience. My job as an EMT working 24-48 hrs shift, I was getting paid $9.50 an hr 10+ years ago. The salary is better now, but it all depends on your experience, work history, and skills.

      i really recommend for u to study hard and retake ur l test for ur RN license. During the time u r studying, u can apply to work as CNA, patient transporter, or hospital admit to get some exp. After u get ur license, u can use ur job to become a nurse in the hospital u already work at.

      I recommend start out as an entry level job in healthcare field that u like. Hospital transporter for hospital, mental health worker for psychiatric hospital, phlebotomist if u r ok with blood, or emt if u like excitement. I recommend against medical school unless u know for sure healthcare is for u. If u want to go into nursing like ur grandparents, work in hospital part time as CNA or any entry level clinical jobs. U need to see if u like being a nurse through working w/ nurses first before spending lots of money for nursing or medical school program

    Hey . I’m doing medical and billing certification course online but I need job anywhere I apply for job they need atleast one year experience or certification and I don’t have any certification or any experience because I come from India and they did not except my degree. I’m tried too get in there. So can you suggest me for any kind of certification I can get quicker and get the hospital job . Please!!

    • @JohnPhamHealth
      @JohnPhamHealth  3 года назад +1

      are you looking for administrative work or clinical work? Medical and billing = admin work which can be hard to get into w/o experience because if u don't do it correctly it will cost the hospital a lot of money. There is also desk secretary or clerical job at clinic too if u can show them u r good w/ desk job during the interview. For clinical, get a CNA certification or apply to become hospital sitter or hospital transporter. then work for few months to build experience and connection before switching to another position inside the hospital.

      If your bls/cpr training is not expire, most expire after 2 years. Go to American Red Cross website and look for bls and cpr training for healthcare provider near your area. Most places look for current bls/cpr certification

    • @JohnPhamHealth
      @JohnPhamHealth  5 месяцев назад

      I don't know about Canada, but in United State or California specifically, you need to pass the nursing board exam here so you can get RN license. Most hospitals and healthcare companies require that RN license if you want to work as a nurse. If you are in Canada, maybe look into doing CNA for entry level job and then transition into nurse. Some will become a CNA and work in the hospital to build their experience while going to school to become a nurse. That is one way, another way is to go to nursing school/program and maybe accelerated program? Good luck.

    What's your thought on these 3 entry-level jobs?

    • @JohnPhamHealth
      @JohnPhamHealth  3 года назад +3

      @Saving All my Love Good suggestion. Usually, the hiring supervisor would screen you before you get the transporter job. However, most hospitals do have slider and crane for heavier patients. If you think the patient might be too heavy for you, you can always ask for help from the CNA or RN, or even call the dispatcher to get another transport to assist. Number 1 rule: your health/safety is your #1 priority. I usually advise my new transporters tips not to twist or injure their back and ask for help when needed
