I'm an old time knitter and I have to tell you . Your the greatest instructor. I've never made mini socks. I've tried and tried found you and I took right of. I make socks on 4 needles large socks. So this was a challenge and I couldn't had done it without your instructions. Beginners are going to love you.
Found a crochet pattern in a magazine for little socks, but wasn’t getting on with it very well as I like to knit while watching television. This pattern is perfect and so easy,
Brilliant. I am a 'nervous' knitter, I can lose count on a row of garter stitch. I wanted an easy pattern but which looked right. This was exactly what I needed. I have knitted my first ever sock! Plus three spares because it's addictive. I used 4.5 mm needles just because I had them.
Thanks for posting this Gina! I struggled trying to knit tiny sweaters and was looking for an easier pattern when I found yours. Serendipity! Now I’ll be able to surprise family and friends. So happy! I hope you have a happy holiday too.🥰
I looked at and tried three other different mini stocking patterns yesterday. Then I found this one. WOW I knit seven of them yesterday for my grandkids ornaments this year. What an excellent tutorial. Could you explain how you do the colored heel portions ?
This is the first thing I have ever knitted successfully. I followed every step and it’s turned out perfectly. Thank you so much for showing every step. 🧶
@@jonsmom1986 Okay I got it. So after you knit the 12 stockinette stiches, at 2:40, knit the 10 stitches with your base color (red). On purl 3, switch to your secondary color (white). Continue using white until 5:57. Knit your ten rows in white, then when you turn your sock over, switch colors back to red. Then I kept my color as res the rest of the time.
Did you ever find out? I'm wondering if literally just doubling/tripling everything will work? I've done that for knitted dolls when I've wanted bigger than the pattern and it has worked but not sure about this.
