I'm happy to say that this blaster met my expectations and it's great for it's price. My only gripe on it would be the uncomfortable priming slide and the lack of a 2nd magazine but other then that, it's a fantastic blaster! Thanks NNN! :)
Also after a while of firing, the trigger has begun to fail to release the catch at times so that's a bit disappointing :l However, it is only 10 bucks so I guess I can't really complain too much and the fix is to hold the priming slide forward.
I’ll look into this. About 300rds through both of mine and haven’t seen that yet. Don’t forget to treat these just like high level hobby blasters. Silicone o-rings and oil friction parts!
@@notnuffnerf I'll make sure to do so, in fact the problem seems to have escalated and now it is no longer a couple rounds of the mag that fail to release, now for every dart I want to fire, I need to hold the slide forward. Perhaps I got a lemon which wouldn't be all too surprising but at least is not an $80 springer lol
@@lingfong don’t forget to upgrade the slide return spring when you upgrade the plunger spring. It will ensure a proper dart load when you prime the blaster.

3? Ooof, one is enough to tinker with. You will find out there aren't really any recyclable internals in these. The barrel thin plastic and most everything else is very low quality. I put a minor spring upgrade in and destroyed the plunger after about 50 darts. It was fun to mess with but nothing revolutionary here. I really feel bad for anybody paying more than the discounted 10 USD for this.
@NotNuffNerf Yeah, 80 FPS isn't bad at all for this price point! It's crazy how much the hobby has evolved, If you sent this thing back 8 years, people would lose their minds! Something this small, with this form factor, getting 80 FPS out of the box!
My gecko 1.0 has terrible spring and my internals just cracked. The spring is so hard to pull plus it sounds like someone put sand into the springs. Thank god i got it for 4$ coz it's a stock clearance so idm much. I'm still keeping it for props purpose and I bought black + red colour.
Sucks that the barrel is solvent welded in, but anyone with a 1/2" drill bit and some patience should be able to mod the dart gate to accept 17/32 Brass or a metric equivalent Aluminum barrel. A bit of RTV silicone sealant on the plunger tube connection to the turnaround would also help with the small leaky o-ring. Also, the amount of flak this thing is getting for having an "old" style plunger head (similar to the Big Bad Bow, Crossbow, Sharpshooter, PistolSplat/Wipeout, MaxxShot, Lanard Shotgun/Triple Shot) I think represents how spoiled the NIC is with modern designs with easily replaceable parts. "Unmoddable" is a bold statement from some. :) This thing would be the meta back in 2010-2014 had it existed, and has a fighting chance of being decent by today's standards. Just gotta come up with a solution for the janky barrel.
Unmoddable like the elite Jr explorer was? ;) The NIC might be spoiled, but it doesn’t take much to get this $10 blaster into the 100s. I put out a short video yesterday on a free 5-minute spring mod that gets this thing into the 120s. Modding is not for everybody, but most can get this blaster serviceable in the time it takes to get to the keyboard and type three bad words about it.
