Dude, you saved me at least 3 months waiting for camping world to fix my unit. That place sucks. After pulling the thermistor out i was able to determine that one of the little metal connectors had wiggled back out of the plastic housing. Snapped it back in, double checked the thermistor as you demonstrate and put it back together, no more flashing green light. Thanks a ton

Thank you for the details! 0 ohms warm or cold pretty much points to the problem with my fridge . . .

Mine seemed to test well out until I put it in ice water. It climbed from about 9 to 19.98 and then went instantly to 1. Then when I pull it out and hold it for about 10 seconds it goes from 1 to 19.98 instantly and then drops.
    I'm guessing that isn't good.

I am curious, what turned out to be the real cause for the refrigerator temperature problem since the termistes turned out to be ok?

May I ask the title of your book? I'm studying for the RVIA certification test but your book shows diagnostic. I'd sure like to get a copy of it.

I am hoping you can help me - I have a model 6182 Norcold Rv refrigerator . I need to test the thermistor, however my thermistor cord does not go to the light for power, it goes somewhere behind the back of the refrigerator. I can not figure out how to get to the other end of it to test it or replace it. I can not seem to get help from an RV place here. They said they do not work on refrigerators! Is there a way I can contact you? Thanks for your video. I live in my RV, so I really need help to get it fixed.

You could try skinning off the wires, and tape them up if it tests out ok. After 4 years I hope you got your deal figured out, but maybe someone needs that idea.

At :45 you state the thermistor should be placed "on the tenth fin". My question the tenth fin from where? the left or center?

I always count from the right to the left personally

Just keep track of where it is on your model. Which I didn't do because I took mine off before watching this video . . . But I can probably see a shadow mark.
