Hey Luke massive fan of the M140i series just recently picked up my M240i. Looking at getting into track stuff sometime in the future, what exhaust setup are you running here as I’m going to be running double res delete and Decat and am worried about sound limits on track. Cheers

What a great opportunity to get to drive both back to back on track, even though that Golf is more capable in this weather that BMW looks way more fun! Can't wait to see more on track videos!
It was great fun!! The track suited the Golf R much more than the M140i so I found myself driving the 7R more. Regardless, what a fun day it was!
So what were the times for comparison?

Luke this is my dream garage, after this track day. What car would you of chosen If you could of only taken 1 car for the track day event !
What’s the M140 like on the road with that much power?
It definitely needs a diff and some suspension mods to get the best out of it. I’ve got the adaptive suspension and it does make a difference, but it’s no full M car. It can sometimes be a little too bouncy, but in a way that whole thing just makes it all the more challenging (in a fun way) to drive quickly. Love mine after about 2 years of it with no intentions to get rid anytime soon. Mine is a manual 3 door for reference.
Luke, get yourself to the Nurburgring if you’ve not been already! I went over early October it was epic!! Just out of curiosity, how does the m140i ride on the 19’s in comparison to the 18’s? Any real noticeable difference?
The answer would interest me a lot

Love 💗 my 140i to much I have a S3 and be honest something about 140 just love it so much more. Use my 140 as a daily and S3 want to blast it down country roads in the shyit weather we have. Not slating my S3 I do own it for a reason
Really good idea with the 3 video angles Luke, and I noticed how your steering inputs made you look a lot more comfortable when your M140i oversteers 👍 A bit annoying how many Marshalls in the UK are so anti-drifting and frown on even a tiny bit of oversteer. But oh well, if it is what prevents most people from crashing and avoids time wasted on cleaning the track up after a drift crash, then I guess we have to comply 🤷♂️

Very good video. Golf R for me hands down though I was impressed with how well you drove the 140i. Golf r is the superior weapon in my opinion but kudos to you for owning them both.
Have to disagree mate had both cars and m140i is a lot better ngl loved the golf r tho
@@bentleybumer yeah the R is better in every aspect. The m140 has a boring interior, the exterior looks are naff and the rwd is unmanageable most of the time on UK roads. But the wrap does improve the look

I'm biased but - it's the 1 forty for me. That sideways action just looked so much more fun than compared to the composed Golf.

Love it Luke, sideways action in the 140 looked an absolute blast,while the golf is good,I think smiles per miles it's got to be the 140,it's a bigger skill set in that car,golf is safe and probably quite predictable too,a dry day,I'd prefer the 140,I was surprised though,to hear your say the brakes went a bit soft, especially knowing you got your big brake kit,have a try of ebc bluestuff,you might surprise yourself,especially if you even then the score on the golf with kw suspension on the 140,all in all,fantastic job again Luke, your transition from road to track,is absolutely valuable information,well done mate.....
