The Bible says that we should forgive others so that we can be forgiven by God. (Matthew 6:14-15 NIV)For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Jesus is saying this meaning we must find it in our hearts to forgive others so we can be forgiven. This is never easy rather doing what our Heavenly Father asks us to do as he does for us all following him through Jesus and his words. Remember God is love and helps us all through everything . I’m sorry to hear about yours or anyone else’s pain regarding what others have done . Yet God is love and we are made in his image having the power to forgive others which sets us free from letting satan take over our Heavenly bodies/souls. Thank You Jennifer for the fabulous videos about God our one and only. God always knows where we are and what we are feeling providing us with his power to forgive others who have sinned against us causing pain yet after we forgive and pray to for these who caused pain thinking with the love of God we can forget this pain giving it to God as it isn’t part of us anymore only God where we try to become more like Jesus in heart.

Thank you so much for sharing. I have just forgiven my wife and told her that I hold nothing against her although we are currently going through an intense custody battle over our 5 precious daughters…she filed a false restraining order on me and got me kicked out of my home and I haven’t been able to go home now for over 6 months. My daughters are so confused and so hurt.
She is still actively pursuing full custody and currently has full custody now.. She claims to be a Christian but she is so lost and confused herself. I just felt very recently that I just need to give this whole thing unto the Lord and allow His will to be done.
He is the sovereign ruler of the universe and upholds all things by the word of His power as it says in Hebrews 1:3.
I will continue to trust and obey Christ and hope and pray that God would be glorified and honored in my own life as i choose to forgive, to love, and to be there for my children as much as I can be although I really don’t even get to see them that much currently…

Definitely go to God.. amen.. forgiveness is not a feeling.. it's a decision.. once we make it we can surrender those I'll and unhealed feelings to God and in time we won't feel those ill feelings towards that person bc we made the decision and he will heal our hurt and help us love that person from a distance if the situation calls for distance... Forgiveness is like an onion and has many layers.

I have been struggling for almost 25 years to forgive a terrible hurt. Some days I feel less anger and I think it might be possible. Then the next day something would trigger a memory, and the anger flare once again. The roadblock that always stops me in my tracks is the idea that to forgive this person I must willingly devalue the offense itself. If I forgive, then I'm admitting to myself that my hurt and my tears were never important anyway. So I hold onto the hurt like some precious artifact from the distant past. I don't want to give it up because it is all I have left.

    • @JenniferAlmaguer
      @JenniferAlmaguer  4 месяца назад +4

@@SECweapons I understand this feeling more than I can express. The enemy tricks us into believing that forgiveness devalues the pain inflicted on us, however forgiveness helps you throw that person away per se away as they are not worthy one more thought to make a comfortable home in your mind and heart anymore! Forgiveness is to set you free and release them and the offense to God’s. Remember revenge is for God, not yours. God is a God of absolute justice but he needs you to trust Him and let go, put it at all at His feet and Be Still and rest. He knows and sees everything. Your obedience will pay off! God bless you and know I prayed over you. I know your pain. I can feel it through your comment. You are not alone. This will change for you through your Faith & obedience. Keep going. It’s a process!

So great topic raised about anger, which a normal emotion but must be treated attentively, positive anger can produce advice, awareness and safety to destruction. But negative emotions of anger can harm or destroy manythings.
verses about anger, and they offer guidance on how to deal with it. Some of these verses include:

Ephesians 4:26: "Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil".

James 1:19-20: "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires".

Proverbs 15:1: "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger".
Psalm 37:8: "Refrain from anger and forsake wrath".
Ecclesiastes 10:4: "If a ruler's anger rises against you, do not leave your post".

You can bless and wish people well, but be careful not to mischaracterize them.
In Titus 1:12 Paul warns Titus about the Cretians, that even a prophet of them said, they are evil beasts and gluttonous .
He said, this witness is true; wherefore rebuke them sharply.
We need to be discerning when dealing with various people and not assume they all are blessed.

The thing is I thought he was the ONE and he really pursued me. He was so loving and then out of the blue...his heart hardened towards me. He wasn't a full blown narc but I think there were tendencies and he didn't love the Lord though he PRETENDED he did.

I did not watch this video but only read the title, and I have a couple comments on this general topic. In our American culture, we have been mis-taught and even indoctrinated against biblical truth. So, first, we have to realize this has in fact happened, meaning many of our assumptions about philosophical concepts like emotions and feelings, forgiveness, mercy, justice, correction, discipline, et cetera have been corrupted or are just wrong. Second, the primary source of truth is the bible, and we have to replace our distorted notions with what the bible says, period, and accept it whether we like it or not. "Do not be conformed to the elements [truths, ideas, beliefs] of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds," and we are commended to "cast down every notion that sets itself against [the knowledge] God...take captive every thought..." In other words, we must REPLACE error with the truth, and do it by forth if necessary, whether we like the truth or not. BTW, it stands to reason that, as we learn God's truth about various subjects, we will encounter truths that seem non intuitive or that offend our flesh. This is normal but the process becomes easier over time, because God is transforming us into the image of Christ. We have to TRAIN our emotions, learn how to appropriately restrain or express them. The younger you are, the more work it will take because the darkness has more intensely brain washed you. Older people were raised in a more-or-less Christian God-fearing American society, hence less correction is required. But my main point is that, like other elements such as the conscience or the correct view of money or the need for justice and restitution for criminal acts, the emotions must be trained in accordance with biblical truth. What makes God angry should make you angry; what makes God glad should make you glad. Yes, anger is an important emotion. So do not buy into the idea that mature people always remain calm for example in the face of evil or perversion or the like. God in HIs anger destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. We need the wisdom of the bible to sort these things out and it takes effort and time. I got save at age 23, and I'm now 68 and have so much more to learn. But the great thing is i found the source of truth--"He will guide into all truth."
