Looks like this 72 Coronet has the easy order package, AC, Power steering, tinted glass, am radio with rear speaker, remote driver side view mirror, day night inside mirror, light package and vinyl roof.
We used to assemble all 4 doors for the Coronet complete with glass, door locks and keys painted in primer for delivery to cab companies to replace ones that were wrecked.
The cab companies in my town used Coronets like this one, with the slant 6. I thought the /6, with those solid lifters, was a very noisy engine inside those cabs.
Wow, that is a really nice car and it looks like all the panels still line up nicely. The driver's inner wheel well looks good and I've fixed worst looking front ends so it may fix up nicely and be a nice driver.
What a neat trick for that trunk lock. I bet a lot of people including myself didn't realize you could take the guts out and use any key. If you don't care about locking it that's a good idea
Too bad no title , good car i think , could be back on the road with $$ and work . However , parts car is fine in my book , better than the crusher ! Well done sir ! ❤
Great intro and interesting trunk reveal and go through. I know you are just going to have the Dodge be a parts car, but I was just talking to my brother in law a week ago about how to get a title for a car that doesn't have one at least in Nevada so I don't know if it would work in North Carolina. He said that he got a title for the car, by giving it to a tow yard for about a month. There is a law that if they have the car for a certain amount of time they can get a mechanics lein title for the car. It might be an option to look into if not for this car, but maybe for a future purchase.
You definitely have a knack for acquiring those cool old working man Mopars . I dig them too . My soft spot is for the early 50's working man Mopars . I own a 1950 Dodge Coronet . I call her "Emily " 230 L head ,fluid drive . She's been contributing to global climate change for 74'yrs. Greta would be proud . 🤣
The system in Britain & Ireland is a little different that car can be legal be put back on the road. The title or as we call it “Logbook” can be easily applied for wether the vehicle has been written off or not. There’s a way around everything.
The coronet and satellite has an unusual cut line on the area at the top the rear doors In the 70 these were common as taxi cabs with a warning sticker to watch your hands Shame it got wrecked
Problem is it has no title. It’s parts only in my state. Also I bought it to fix up my Coronet wagon so a lot of its parts will go on or be swapped with it.
I wouldn't part that car out, you could just swich the parts you want and put that car back up for sale. In some states, no title is not much of a hinderence. Some states dont require a title for a car over 15 years old. And people in the rust belt still would really appreciate that car.
You still need paperwork even in non title states. And in my state no title means you never get one. So it’s parts only. Plus you’d have to find another car to part out to fix this one.
@@ObsoleteAutomotive I'm guessing the U.S. process is different, but here in Canada I had a no title motorcycle and it really wasn't a big deal to get a new one. Also, unless the frame is damaged, the dents look pretty fixable
@@QuebecGamer20 My state it is pretty much impossible to get a title if you don’t have one. Other states are different but I need a lot of parts off this car for my others. So it worked out.
That car must of been originally a white car since the engine bay is white. Is it a special order car or something because I wonder if it's a old cop car or something like that.
Reminds me of Dean’s greasy flips on Cold War Motors

That ‘72 coronet looks like it was garage kept most of its life
It’s in pretty good shape.
Loved the commercial at the beginning! It's great that you found a good parts car. The front seat looked really nice.
Missed your calling 40 yrs behind your time. Cool intro
In another life perhaps.
Wow, that is a really nice car and it looks like all the panels still line up nicely. The driver's inner wheel well looks good and I've fixed worst looking front ends so it may fix up nicely and be a nice driver.
Could probably be fixed. But no title kinda kills it. And I need the parts for my wagon.

even better than a title; you found the cars birth certificate!
Austin, I think that the non-working brakes are a subtle hint as to what happened to that car. 🤔 😂
One wonders… 😂
That car has great metal !!
Very solid!
Love. Own. Your. Parts. Car. It’s. In. Great. Shape. Thanks
Looks like Bottle Rocket from RUclips channel Uncle Tony’s Garage
Exactly
Geez man, that's a score. Same dash and interior color as my 74 Charger; only difference is the steering wheel.
This is perfect parts car acquisition. Well justified sacrifice of a Coronet. Bravo!
Those side marker lights aren’t easy to get. Nice V-twin cast iron Airtemp AC compressor.
Ha! Only 25 seconds into the video, and I love it!! I couldn't help but laugh and smile at your opening... well done!!! 😁😅🤣😂
It just came to me seeing the three coronets lined up. 😂
The costume was awesome!! You are already better than 90% of the freaks in Hollywood! 😂
@tonychasey7990 100%
In good shape, these Coronets are worth some money in Scandinavia
Those wheel covers would look nice on the wagon too.
It is an option!
Shame about the front-end shunt. That looked like a pretty nice car before...early 70's rust free original Mopars are rare on the ground
Yep, Austin's Mopar Greasy Flips! Dig the "ad."
Fairfax Dodge was in Fairfax, Virginia

Looks like some old Guy's one owner garage queen. Wonder if his widow or kids didn't love it the way he did?
No idea!
Lots of general MOPAR hardware too. Lots....
Just too nice!
This intro man 😂
Just one of those things that popped in my head seeing all three coronets together. 😂

My kinda car!
Love it! Stick it to Dumberg.
Austin,Fairfax Dodge I believe was in Manassas,Va
There was a Fairfax Dodge in Falls Church I believe but this was over 45 years ago.
The lack of rust signifies a car NOT from the Wash DC area
The system in Britain & Ireland is a little different that car can be legal be put back on the road. The title or as we call it “Logbook” can be easily applied for wether the vehicle has been written off or not. There’s a way around everything.
Meanwhile the previous owner is still pining for his shoes and looking for that key.
You could always create a "24 Hours of LeMons" team...
The coronet and satellite has an unusual cut line on the area at the top the rear doors

Shame it got wrecked
So many shoes it makes me wonder if this was Al Bundy's car.
Its a shame it was wrecked since its in nice shape otherwise. Swap those tires and do some burn outs with it ? lol
Dang man that car looks fixable.
dang idk austin that thing minus the damage looks mint. Idk that wouldnt find a rusted out one with a good clip for it.
Problem is it has no title. It’s parts only in my state. Also I bought it to fix up my Coronet wagon so a lot of its parts will go on or be swapped with it.
@ObsoleteAutomotive yeah I hate that title headache. They make it kinda ridiculous to get one. Ive passed on many for that reason.

Some of those shoes may be worth some money
Could have been. But not big on keeping used shoes. Ha
@@ObsoleteAutomotivedonate to Soles4Souls if you can
That car is WAY too clean to be a parts car! Rust usually eats old vehicles until there's nothing left, but this one is in excellent chape
Except the front end is smashed in and it has no title. So it’s parts unfortunately.

Fairfax dodge was close to me it's close to DC near Arlington
I think Fairfax dodge maybe fair oak dodge now.not sure I miss these cars so much thank you for these really nice videos
A lack of rust for a native NoVa car; I'm guessing it wasn't driven when there was snow on the ground. I'm a DC area native
