- 🤖 In this video, I'll be sharing why I sold my Emo Desktop Robot by Living.AI. As a pretty unique and interactive smart device, Emo has definitely caught the attention of many tech enthusiasts, including myself. I'll be diving deep into the PROS and CONS of owning this robot, highlighting its features and faults, and discussing the reasons why I ULTIMATELY decided to part ways with Emo. 🤖
However, this isn't the end of my relationship with Emo the robot! I'll be explaining why I still believe in the potential of this desktop robot and how I'll continue test it in the future from my own home...

I bought an EMO last week so just gotta wait 4-8 weeks for it to arrive now lol. Good thing with EMO from all the research I've done online is the team who are making him update him very often with new features.

I kinda disagree here’s why:
1. The price is super expensive so I agree
2.I really don’t care about Spotify being connected to my emo cuz I think it will get something like this in the future updates
3. It just got acces to chat gpt so it can answer questions

Unfortunately ChatGPT didn’t release for Emo until about a week or so after I filmed both videos, but yes, Emo now has ChatGPT!

I was just about to order emo but I want the skateboard so I was going to order the original and the charging station separately is it worth it my concern is is the actual emo the same versions
Both emos are the same version technically speaking, but the home base looks really cool and emo recharges himself by walking back to it. My full test and review of emo go home will come out next Saturday 🤓

If i had to get a little robot i think i would get a vector its pretty cheap does all commands same thing and charges its self with emo u gotta spend extra 300 dollars or sum like that just for a charging stand for emo it whould come with it

This is such an American thing to say 😅 "I am worried about my privacy" You guys are deluded at best
I mean, every one of our U.S. tech companies gather data on us - why wouldn’t tech from other countries? Lol. It’s not necessarily being used nefariously, but it is certainly gaining data to learn more about us, so I understand the fear some may have if privacy is a main concern, especially from countries who may have differing interests than their own. But like I said in the video, it doesn’t scare me off using tech like this since all companies do it.

Honestly, the reason it seems you got rid of Emo is the AI / robot hype. Emo was never marketed as a virtual assistant, but as a pet companion robot. So expecting it to answer any question or connect to Apple music, is in my opinion, unreasonable. You wouldn't expect your dog to to that

In all seriousness, you’re totally right. I actually ended up getting emo back with the Emo Go Home model after adjusting my expectations. I do think that even though it’s marketed as an AI “pet”, a lot of people assumed that it would utilize AI more by connecting to existing services (this is based off of a lot of the comments I’ve gotten) And it seems like Living.Ai is trying to make it that way with the chatgpt integration and the creation of AiBi pocket pet. I guess we’ll see where it all goes soon, and thank you for watching!
@@EricJKuhns I just ordered the Go Home version too. I agree with you that having to charge your robot companion is the no 1 thing that breaks immersion in the AI companion / pet field. I actually hope they go more "pet like" later on. E.g. like the idea of having to feed the AiBi pocket. Maybe they will bring this to Evo too. Imo the whole ChatGPT is more about giving into the public hype pressure. I don't know if it adds much to the companion part. Simulation of emotion and robot "life" (whatever that means for robots) is much more interesting to me. Let's see what the future brings.

This robot is literally designed to collect data. The cuter it looks the creepier its actual intent is. Same goes for the Apple watch you're wearing. It's called surveillance capitalism. It's really funny to see someone mildly alternative and yet still really naive especially with crappy tech gadgets.
