The receptionist and office clerk should have called out code silver and 311 to the security and police.

For the 2nd scenario - the nurse who is already trained in Krav Maga can take the shooter down as fast as possible and take the gun away to stop a potential active shooting situation, but regrettably, the nurse is forced to be submissive, because if she fights back, she could be dead in seconds. Assume the backpack the simulated aggressor dropped may contain tripwires or maybe even booby traps with explosives. The weapon I see is likely a 9mm automatic. And automatic weapons mean much higher chances of a higher body count in an active shooting than six-shooters.

In 3:01, that is the most passive indication of declaring that someone has a gun given the scenario.

most hospitals only allow certain people on the surgical floor such as surgeons, doctors, nurses, or janitors. you need a keycard, key, or someone just has to press a button to let you in. depends on the hospital. as toya said, they would do something to barricade or lock the door and continue the surgery. they could never leave the patient alone, that is against the law and they would lose their medical license and get arrested.

@@dylanooreilly That is not true at all. Surgeons can absolutely choose to discontinue patient care and evacuate themselves without repercussions.

Not to down-play active shooter training, but I find this scenario interesting since Doctors are literally getting paid Billions to recklessly kill 10's of thousands Americas every year in Hospitals. No training videos for us explaining how we can protect our loved ones in Hospitals from Doctors who are known to have killed people due to bad practices. The American Health Care System puts money and careers over human life as a matter of policy. If Hospitals really fear this type of scenario, then they need to stop throwing away our dead loved ones away like trash, and give families some kind of due process against Doctors who stand accused of malpractice. Here in California, "Doctors" are people who don't speak English, never went to a US medical school and are whores to the State's Work Comp System, Medicare, ect. They don't care about us!

Then next time you get sick or hurt, don’t bother getting medical attention since doctors obviously don’t care about you.
