What do you think about UK nursing salary?

Let me share how much I save monthly. I'm a nurse in a nursing home here in Birmingham. I work 12 hours a day, 4 to 5 days a week. My gross monthly salary ranges between 4,000 and 5,000 pounds. My net monthly salary ranges between 3,000 and 4,000 pounds. On average my net monthly salary is 3,600 pounds. The highest gross salary I got was 5,400 pounds because I worked during my annual leave. I am solo here and my monthly expenses are these: house rent is 400 pounds per month (including water, electricity, gas, wifi and council tax), food is 100 pounds per month (we have free food in the carehome), mobile data is 25 pounds per month and Netflix is 4.99 pounds per month. I don't spend on transportation because our carehome is just walking distance. I didn't buy a car here so I don't have car-related expenses. I seldom travel to other places. In one month I can save more or less 3,000 pounds which is equivalent to 210,000 pesos and I'm happy with my monthly savings.

For long term goal ang UK nursing. Im currently working at a bank in the Philippines earning twice of what a band 5 nurse earns. Pero, iiwan ko yun kasi mas promising ang growth sa UK and the chance of having ILR after 5 years. I could not imagine spending another 5 years sa corporate world vs the benefits of spending those 5 years as a nurse in the Uk.

@@manonggeorge actually, I have been following you and your videos for the longest time. It is and continues to be a big factor why UK is my choice. Once I get there, I would live to sit down with you to discuss why I left my corporate job in the PH for 12 years and decided na magbalik loob to being a nurse. 😊

super baba po ang salary here UK, I mean its like $3000 basic without banks, BUT the house rental is half of the salary specially london area. Too many taxes, pension payments. Please don't come in UK dears. Huwag n huwag nio gagawin yan😅😅😅 malayong mas malaki ang sahod ko middle east.😅😅 😂ni walang pure gold dito kahit earrings man lng sana . 😂

Uk is not just london, d hamak mas mura ang cost of living in areas outside london particularly countryside.

correct ka diyan sister! konti lang sahod dito sa UK compared to USA. di naman kc ako pumasa ng nclex kaya dito lang talaga ang beauty ko pang UK lang anyway maligaya naman ako kahit konti lang ang sahod nakakaraos naman kc single lang naman ako. ill be retiring soon nga pala ive been with NHS since 1999 as bedside nurse top band 5. so mga nurses nag ambisyon na mag abroad better pass your nclex and english exams if you really want to earn 70k pesos per night only in the USA.

Hi there. Grabe pala ang baba ng salary ng UK Nurse. Mas mataas pa ang sahod ng Nursing Assistant dito sa US kaysa sa Nurse dyan. No wonder I met a lot of nurses here who started their career came from the UK.

Mas malaki din naman gastusin jan sa US, and those figures mentioned here does not really give you an idea kung magkano matitira sayo, mga indian pana nga dto masisipag mag bank kaya nakakabili agad bahay and range rover or audi

Malayong malaki ang sweldo ng US nurses tbh… mas lalo pag kayung dalawa mag asawa ay both nurses OMG talaga. Mas lalo na naman kung travel nurse ka nasa $20k to $28k a month ang sweldo nyo. Maraming States din ang affordable cost of leaving. Kya mga nurses dito naglalakihan mga bahay and driving expensive cars as well. In the US you can live large Basta masipag ka 😊

@@Ramaka456wag ako i have my own relative who used to work at mt sinai hospital in new york, oo makakabili ka ng bahay while you are working pero when retirement comes those properties actually becomes a liability dahil sa taas ng property tax jan, imagine property tax alone lang sa US will cost you 10-14k US dollars a year for an average house especially in states like new york, new jersey, california which is equivalent to almost a million peso, pag retired kana dun lang mapupunta ang pension mo kaya in the end binenta na lang din ang bahay before retirement, mandatory rin kumuha ng home insurance jan which will cost you a lot of fortune as well and mga health insurance pa, and not to mention may mga federal tax, state tax pa sa mga more popular states in the US, an annual salary of 120k US dollars may seem a lot pero in the US d pa nga kasya to cover your expenses in some cases.

yes you are right Im UKRN as bedside nurse for 25 years band 5 receiving 13k pesos per night so pag dayshift siguro 10k pesos lang compared to ICU nurse los angeles california they earned $1200 x 58= 69600 pesos compared to 13k pesos /night sa UK so i advise all the nurses planning to go abroad to pass your NCLEX and english exams as these are your passport to USA... sayang ang 70k pesos per night unfortunately i tried 4x for NCLEX but i failed to fullfill my american dream. maraming umaalis na filipino nurses once they pass their nclex parang steppingstone lang nila ang UK.

@@Ramaka456 correct ka diyan mga classmates ko andiyan sila lahat sa USA they have big houses like mansions 2 to 3 cars kakaloka. they earned as much as $ 400k / year or equivalent to 23 million pesos compared to UK RN £ 30k / year or equivalent to 2 million pesos, kaya dapat ipasa ninyo ang NCLEX at english exams nag aantay na ang 23 million pesos per year ninyo.
