I like how your vids show you cleaning it until the water is clear. Alot of these others, the water & soap is still essentially dirty at the end of the video but it's clean enough for the before/after and they cut it right there lol. This isn't just clean enough, it's PERFECT.
This is a 1972 carpet from Macy's. I saw in on the floor of the furniture showroom. At the time it was $375. Its made in Iran, real wool fiber. Beautiful cleaning. Prob was never cleaned until now. Thank you for the video. I will try to place the others u have. ... interior designer but never got my degree to have children.

We had a rug just like that but lost it to the flood, thanks harvy it was sooooo soft.
I always think it’s best to clean and reuse already made goods, less waste. I dk purely a question, what’s the resource consumption of this compared to a new rug? With the amount of water used, chemicals, your time... In some cases is it more effeciant, less environmentally impactful to get a new rug on some occasions?
No, its never more environmentally friendly to buy new. All you have to imaging is this has probably been flown over from abroad and the impact of alone far outweighs some water and soap. Not to mention that if not cleaned it will sit in the ground breaking down for 1000s of years into millions of tiny micro plastics. Im sure in the years to come plastics will become an even bigger problem than they are now.
