    I was born and raised in Hawaii. The town I lived in was right next to Schofield army Barracks. It was the home of the 25th Infinitry. I watched several times as truck load after truck load of young men were being shipped out to Vietnam. I cried when you found the shirts that had Vietnam on them. Over 50,000 soldiers died in that useless and unnecessary war. Sorry to be so down beat but we cannot forget them.

    Oh my gosh that IS the unit of a LIFETIME!!!! Years ago I had a unit that I couldn’t afford to pay for anymore. It was a very hard and sad time in my life and we didn’t have a home to put the stuff in let alone pay for it. I am sure it was auctioned off and though there was items/stuff I wish I could have kept the ONLY tote I wished I could have had was full of pictures from when I was in school, my kids baby books and pictures of my kids. I only hope and pray though that it was someone like you Renee that bought it and would take care of the “stuff” that was in there ❤️

    I’ve been watching news reports and footage on RUclips of the flooding going on out in Yellowstone that closed the park. I feel so bad, first of course for the people who are there and are directly affected, but also for Renee, because we all know she has a special place in her heart for Yellowstone. I’ve been watching her old uploads, starting from the beginning and I recently watched her videos of her 2019 trip out there. She really did a good job of conveying her love for the area. I hope she’ll soon be able to return to the area.

    • @PaperandMoose
      @PaperandMoose  Год назад

      It's so sad for those that live in the northern part outside of the park, as they have lost so much. The northern part of Yellowstone will most likely be closed for the remainder of the season, but once flooding has receded and roads in the east/west/southern part of the park are accessed, it will re-open (though they are talking about having to make reservations just to enter the park).

    Based on the Marine Service A jacket, you should find a pair of matching trousers with a pair of red stripes along the outside seam.
    USMC leaders, which is signified by the Sergeant's stripes on the Service A jacket, wear 'blood stripes' on their dress trousers to commemorate the courage and tenacious fighting of the men who fought in the Battle of Chapultepec in September of 1847.

    I was a landlord in N St. Louis from 1988-2003, and when we did make-ready clean outs we often tried to figure out what happened to the tenants.
    Upon first entry it often looked like they set off a bomb in the unit scattering all their personal effects.
    They left behind birth certs, marriage certs, SSNs, court docs, etc Very disconcerting at first, then it became new normal.
    Often we just hauled clothes to nearest church ( low income folk do not have Coach purses, expensive clothes, etc)
