Great channel, I like how much detail you offer. Most people don't realize how much work it is to film and edit videos. Being aware and attentive to your camera gear while building the home kills your time on the job. That's why most people don't go into detail like you do, they just get lazy. I appreciate the effort you're putting into showing us all this build. You got my sub.
Love your running commentary. One hint...hot air holds buckets more water (aka humidity) than does cold because the molecules are further apart. So it is during the summer that you get probs with moisture. Then that nasty black mold takes advantage. Don’t take this as a negative comment please!
lol Love the vids Dan watch all of yours. the red tape is called tuck tape here in Canada, is 10 bucks a roll at home depot. sticks to metel N wood in freezeing temps and works awesome
My names Daniel and I'm building a tiny home 🤣 this is not a joke. It's a real statement. How ironic. I'll be definitely asking you some questions brother
Wow I paused & commented, then continued watching and saw the corrupt media file... that kinds stuff happened to me when I went urban exploring at haunted abandoned asylums... you better do some spiritual cleansing of your tiny house property!
Series was great man! looking forward for the next episode :) Wish i could build a tiny house one day myself. You make it look way easy :) Hugs from Norway.
Keep the videos coming. The Mr heater big buddy ventless propane heater could easily heat that space. They're on sale for $99 at tractor supply. 18,000 btu. Propane cheaper than electric.
"I live in a plastic bag" Wait until you are really old, you think you hurt now! Have mercy, even my skin hurts. Used a Kerosene heater, it's a wonder you didn't die from the fumes. We tried that and I could feel the depression coming down on me when I walked into the room being heated. We stopped using it, chose to be cold than to be fumigated
The red tape is probably gaffer's tape, also a cloth tape. It's use in the entertainment industry to tape down cables and cords because it's non-reflective and easily removed with leaving sticky residue. If that's what you were seeing, probably not a good choice.
The mom rant and the random dancing to the techno cracked me up. Enjoyed the video! Are you running on a generator or city electric? Or solar? (I am new to your channel)
Hey Dan, does code in the US require you to use acoustic caulk? Anywhere two studs are next to each other (or three) acoustic caulk should be used in the cracks where regular insulation can't be used, to stop air flow through those cracks. Also it should be used where the baseplate and subfloor meet, then overlap the plastic into the caulk. Better than taping.
If you do spray foam, then yes. When spray foam drys it creates a vapor barrier and you need to seal all the cracks in between the studs just like you said. since i added the vapor barrier, theres no need to do that. the "plastic" covers over all those cracks and the tape seals everything else.
Tiny House Customs, ok, I can see how that would work. I got raked over the coals from my home inspector for not using the acoustic caulk in all those cracks, maybe if I had your info I could have had a leg to stand on! Thanks Dan.
I want to know how you're not married already (which I'm guessing since you live by yourself or it's appears that way) you're so funny, handsome, smart and very handy! Lol

@ 1:02 was that a ghostly apparition that came down through the camera field of view?
Wow I paused & commented, then continued watching and saw the corrupt media file... that kinds stuff happened to me when I went urban exploring at haunted abandoned asylums... you better do some spiritual cleansing of your tiny house property!

yes, but, Propane puts out a lot of moisture , too much for a tiny space.
Ya I've heard that just recently. I've never had an issue with it personally. At least not with that particular heater.
Awesome.....!!!

Rick Davis it's tuck tape. Which is a plastic tape. You wouldn't use gaf tape.
Dan, about your lights in the bedroom,
How many bulbs are you using down there?
In case someone wants to send you a few of the better kind...
Can a vapor barrier that is for floating floors be used.
Absolutely LOVE your videos!! You make me laugh :D
The mom rant and the random dancing to the techno cracked me up. Enjoyed the video! Are you running on a generator or city electric? Or solar? (I am new to your channel)
I’m on grid.
why not put that stuff in inside and outside of insulation?
Question...why do Tiny homes builders no utilize foil vapor barrier to deal with both vapor & radiant heat?
per-me-uh-bill-i'-tee lol
+Paul B Yep but it still doesn't sound right.
I love peanut!
one question- with the kitchen and bathroom on one end, does that mess up the weight distribution? (while being towed)
GREAT JOB SMART GUY 💪🏿TOO FUNNY 😂
Hey, what was the name of that vapor barrier. (Edit) Hey, is it MemBrain? I just googled and looked for a similar box and the blue letters....
Yeah I believe that’s what it was called
not picking but i would have put all the wireing in pvc tube so if you need to chane someing or have a isswue you can esaly run a new wire
yes, yes I found it by doing that it's just easier to click and go..

you totally remind me of a slightly overweight Joey from Friends. 😂
+Christian mom of 5 Great thanks

why not use tyvek in the inside too?
because it always allows moisture to to penetrate it.
