I met Jools Holland. I was lost and needed directions to a street. He was a gentleman and was so kind to direct me .

I have so much to thank Jools for. An absolute pillar of music and an unselfish populariser.

Have so much respect for Jools, always have since I first saw him on the music show The Tube back in the 80’s. It doesn’t matter how big a success he becomes, it’s like watching a good friend on TV, such is his humility. Such a great ambassador for the piano, and such a great ambassador for just being a wonderful human being.

Glad that this interview popped up on my RUclips as not seen it since it was recorded, as it is a brilliant insight into the career of Jools Holland. The music world would not be the same without Jools Holland, he has helped so many great musicians. 🙏

Lovely interview. Despite all his success and all the famous he knows and has on his shows, I get the impression Jools is just an ordinary, nice guy. Thanks for uploading.

He lives near me and got his haircut at the local barber. Not starry at all.

I loved Beat Route too. Such amazing people would be on. 20+ years ago, My mum and I used to watch Hootenanny together. After the first show she watched with me, she was hooked on Jools and Later... she would love to know so many love it still. Thank you for the amazing times Jools!

A great interview, but some really poor editing chaps for a two camera setup. I bet you haven’t got a wild track?

The word "impresario-ish" appears here for the first time in printed history. You're welcome !

Jools is a painting by numbers piano player also rivaled by the idiocy of Christian, Music for flat liners! Oh yeah! I played with them.
