@@MostUndignified I switched all of my decks over to the new Katana sleeves by Ultimate Guard. I believe they are the best sleeves on the market, but the Eclipse sleeves by Ultra Pro are not far behind.
Ultra Pro Satin Towers are type of deck box that are really well-liked - they're super durable and are pretty affordable (around $10). Ultra Pro Eclipse sleeves are high quality card sleeves that are durable, smooth, and have opaque backs (some sleeves are just clear enough to see the card back, which can get you in trouble for using marked cards). They're really good products all-around, and are definitely recommendable.
I had the same thought. I picked up the Anje deck mainly to break it down for parts, but I ended up liking it and realized how powerful she is as a commander. Now I'm looking at upgrading it significantly and getting nicer storage for it and the Rakdos box here looks perfect

That card bearer setup does have a very nice profile if you're going around the city on foot (least I like that much more than the backpacks). And those bottom studs - an issue, but I don't see it being too awful to put in a layered cloth or if you've got some thinner EVA foam, or similar. I know what's going onto my christmas list!
Found something interesting for a small easy way to transport 4 decks a mat and some dice waterproof. Harbor freight apache waterproof case. Foam modular cutouts and works great for boulders also only $13.
As terrible as the Zoopin looks, I'm happy to see more "sidewinder' style boxes. I hope more companies make deck boxes in this style since the sidewinder is my personal favorite.
I try and save what I can in case I need it for future reviews. I have a giant storage shed filled with products good and bad. A lot I throw away eventually, or if they fall to pieces during testing, I tend not to save them.
Just recently bought one of those big white boxes that hold thousands of cards. I had my cards in a bunch of old flimsy bundle boxes. Now my wife is appeased!
I'm a bit confused. Leifkicker or whatever the brand is named is making 100-200 $ deckboxes that only hold one deck and their only appeal is the design, however they usually get an A+ from you. Here, the Grimoire is also a clunky piece of furniture who's only pro is it being a conversation piece, yet it gets rated so much harsher. I don't understand.

Seems like your judging this in the wrong category. Sure, the "book" isn't made by hand, but if you're going to Friday night magic with a spellbook deck box, you want to be noticed... Looks like a good box to me.
I feel the area where deck box manufacturers could still set themselves apart from each other a lot is labeling options. Some of UP deck boxes have white areas meant for labeling but I have no idea what you're supposed to use for non-permanent labeling because markers wash off the plastic on touch. (Hint: don't use permanent marker and alcohol when you want to erase it.) I use double sided tape to affix a clear card sleeve on the box and insert a printed 300g/m² card with whatever design I want. And the card sleeve can be cut to whichever height. But I wish a manufacturer could come up with even better options.
Prof and more, I like deck boxes that hold 100 double sleeve cards or a good way to hold 3-5 decks for the heck of it. I also wish there was a good way to hold dice and tokens as well in one organized way, not a toolbox. Any suggestions? I just throw it all in a compartmentalized backpack as it is.

Totally fair. Some people like bling, some don't. I have a lot of commander decks and no way am I spending 20$ a pop to hold em, but my blinged out Feather deck with all the foils just needs the fancy clothes. It's nice to know the product is quality when it's that spent.
@Tolarian Community College I will say that, regarding the Grimoire box, I did buy their Adjustable Grimoire Deck Box Organizer which is a wooden insert with multiple adjustment options. With that organizer, my box comfortably fits my Cube which is 360 cards prepacked in the reusable card packs plus plenty of tokens, nice, and a land station.
Sure, you can't play Magic at Walmart or Target, but at least you can get the product there without some inflation or privatization of product. I know not all LGS Owners do this, but it is a growing issue that's leading to a downfall of stores. Why would I pay $70 for a deck that I can get across the street for $30? My local LGS is out of county, and while it is a decent place to get cheap rares and tokens, I do have to deal with not getting cards from a set that doesn't match his hype. I wasn't allowed to get War of the Spark because Core Set 2020 was "The Next Big Thing"yet just 15 minutes of driving to Target and they've still got plenty of WAR packs. You can't fault me for wanting a set they refuse to provide. The only saving grace is for LGS Meetups. But tournaments exist, and conventions, and some people live too far away. Like I said, I have to go out of county. The closest LGS doesn't do events so I have to go out of county up to the Oxford Valley Mall from Feasterville just to play. I barely make enough to afford cards, let alone gas. Anyway, that's why LGS's are failing. I don't want them to fail, but there's too much inconvenience to support them the way I think they deserve. It's a losing battle, one I've seen before and I'm seeing again.
I love those Ultra Pro boxes, but they're rather expensive. I could maybe, just maybe, see myself getting one for a beloved guild themed specific deck. But when you have 15-20 commander decks, I don't even enjoy paying $3-5 for the flimsy plastic boxes.
So I have owned the Orzhov and Simic boxes for quite sometime now. Im just coming across this review because I just ordered the Azorious one off TCGPlayer for a whopping $70! Given the year of production I was willing to pay the price given the quality of the other two I have had for a while now. Should be in the mail soon! Cant wait to give Shorikai a new garage ;)
Hi Professor. Although I don't play MtG or Pokemon, I appreciate your channel as well as how thorough and honest your reviews are. I have a special request. With every release of Wizard's new project, the Transformers TCG, its players are itching to find the best protection for their oversized character cards. Since the Transformers TCG is relatively new, there isn't much when it comes to deck boxes specifically for oversized cards. I was wondering if you could test already existing products such as Dex Protection or even Monster Protectors. Both have boxes with removable trays that make it seem as if it'd be suitable for oversized cards, but it's always best to check with you first before putting money towards it. If you see this, I hope you can take this into consideration. I also apologize for leaving such a long comment as I could not find another way to contact you. Thanks!
Is the Alcove Ravnica Deck Box from the same batches of Ultra Pro Ultra Ball Alcove Deck Box? The Ultra Ball one in my LGS looks good, but I'm concerned with their magnet power like the old Ultra Pro Pokemon Deck box
why is the ultre pro selesnya box black and white? EDIT: nvm at 16:40 you can tell its just a VERY murky green/teal (standing next to the dimir box it is obvious they are different, albeit similar, colors). too bad I like the boulders more :P
