This version benefits so much by moving the cello more to center so he can play more responsively with the banjo fiddle and mandolin. Nice to watch him play instead of being off to the right.
it's too bad that this tune and 7 others from that europe72 era never made it into the studio as a follow up to american beauty.. the additional instrumentation of banjo fiddle pedal steel would have given the song so much more texture resonance and meaning... this song does benefit from the banjo & fiddle as it is such an ole timey mountain ballad along the lines of cumberland blues... well done cover...
These dudes do their own music awesome and do this cover justice!
Iii
Gone are the dayz...
Just a Band from Duluth. I had tickets with them and GOPR at Hapton Beach when Covid hit. Bucket List Band!
Snowed so hard that the Roof Caved in!
Reminds me a little bit of "Atlantic City" by Bruce Springsteen. Great tune!

I know Tennessee Jed is one of the other 7 but what are the rest?

Chills and body tingles from head to toe. Thankyou! Sincerely Chase C.

I would love to see a screen play based on the story in this song

Yeah boys!
very nice
Thank you all for the rendition
I like this. But I never understood the apparent faster tempo for this tune, I like it slower, like 1972 groove.
:)
Nice camera work missing the first half of the banjo solo
This whole show sounds so autotuned.
Lol
