I was fortunate enough to drive and operate 2 different DM 800 Macks . Both were built for heavy hualing with the winch . If i didn't have a ramp to back up to ,i had to unscrew the king pin and lower the front and lay it out . Then load it up, winch it back up and screw the king pin back in. I was in the Navy Seabees as a heavy equipment operator. Back in 78-83. One Mack had the V8 ,the other had a straight 6. Im very tempted to but one of these . The one difference is the headlights and color of course.
