32 y.o. female - Diagnosed with stage 1 IDC (so far pre-surgery). My younger female doctor assumed I'd want to make an appt with a plastic surgeon to see options, but I said not at this time....waiting for genetic results, but at this age I've been leaning toward a double mastectomy.

You’ll make the best choice for yourself with your healthcare team. However, if you think that they’re giving less attention to some of your options, you can always ask them to make more space to talk about whatever else you’re needing to focus on. Even when going flat, it's best to have a plastic surgeon perform the aesthetic flat closure rather than a breast surgeon
