"They're not gonna win any design awards" you say? They actually won both of the most prestigious design awards, iF and Red Dot. I think they're some of the best looking laptops out there, and I'm not alone :) But I also don't like how most of the other laptops look nowdays, so I'm probably not in the majority.

I have Lenovo ThinkPads from 2011/2012 that are STILL running today!....I won't buy ANY other laptop brand! I've TRIED them all!...the HP Specter...the Dell XPS....the Huawei Matebook X Pro (which is REALLY nice!)....Microsoft's Surfacebooks (meh) and even MacBooks (utter garbage!) Of them all?...Lenovo comes out on top EVER SINGLE TIME!....I'm in the market for a new laptop...and you already KNOW I'm going to be looking for an X-1 Carbon on the cheap!...as for the color?...no...grey,....silver....blue....yellow...pink...metallic green?...NONE of them work....it HAS to stay BLACK
    Long Live Lenovo!...LoL!

He Eddie maybe you can help me out. I was using a MacBook pro 17 inch that finally crashed on me, and there are no replacement parts. I need a new laptop but I am not going to spend any money at all on a new mac book of any kind. Can you help me choose a new laptop? Any help you can lend would be greatly appreciated.
I pretty much need a laptop that can do video editing cause I like to us my gopro.
I am not much into gaming but I just recently started to learn how to use a cad program called fusion 360 until my MacBook just over heated and crashed completely. So I need a laptop with some power and the ability to expand ram memory and storage memory. I guess I will have to go back to a windows environment which I am ok with and from what you say thinkpads are built tough, right? I was thinking of maybe getting a think pad x1 yoga cause of the ability to use the stylus and drawing capability which is a fun way for me to have some fun on the laptop with the ability to sign documents. Give me your advice, I would really appreciate it. I also thought about Dell and HP. What do you think I should buy?

@@AUS5113 If I had to give my thoughts?....I'd say a ThinkPad T-460 would fit the bill....only because its compact enough, and "solid" enough to take all over town...but the BEST part?...is you can crack it open and stick THESE inside!..LoL!
      www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Lenovo/thinkpad-t460
Granted, you might not want to buy it from here, (shop around on E-Bay or Amazon for better pricing!)....I just wanted to show you that you can max out the RAM at 16GB...AND install a solid state drive (talk about SPEED!?...LoL!) and of course since I use Linux, it would literally run RINGS around yer MacBook! The display might not be a "Retina"?...but you'll hardly miss it if you install something like....say.....either AVLinux (www.bandshed.net/avlinux/)......or Ubuntu "Studio" (ubuntustudio.org)....either one of those distros (short for "distribution") can fit the bill when it comes to content creators, video makers....photography/artists.....audio production.....drawing...etc. Once you get one of those?...and max it out?...and then throw Linux onto it?....you'll find you'll NEVER want to even TOUCH a MacBook or a Windows machine EVER again!....and the best part is?....the T-460 isn't "new" so you can get them at a decent price! (as opposed to the Thinkpad T-470 or T-480 which is like...$1100....$1300 respectively.....although you might find one of those later models cheaper, but the T-460 would be perfect for ya!) At least in my opinion!!!
There might be a bit of a "learning curve" when it comes to using Linux, but because this isn't 2002?...(when I first started using it and had to deal with "Dependency Hell") you'll find that once you acclimatize yourself to the programs, and the usage,...you'll be better off for it...since you won't have to pay "royalty fees" (also known as EULA's!) to the various companies that insist that you pay for the "Full Version" of whatever software they're offering. You might not get to use Adobe Premiere...or Apple's video editing software, but your GoPro WILL work with Linux and you'll find yourself "wondering"....which is the BEST thing that can happen, because the more you wonder?...the more you'll be willing to try something you've never tried before!...
      Happy Computing!
      Case & Point: I found this on E-Bay....decent price....AWESOME specs!...LOL!

      And then there's THIS!....(gotta love E-bay sometimes!...LOL!)
      ebay.to/2YI3FWF

Nice review. The Yoga X1 comes with a 45W or something powerbrick, but you have to upgrade it to get 65W. Went with Yoga X1 (2018) version. Love it, but doesn't work well with Adobe Illustrator. I got it to use with Illustrator but Illustrator crashes every 3 mins. Every other drawing program that comes with it works well. Plus has HDMI and USB C , fingerprint scanner (works amazingly) camera cover.

Scuderia Ferrari first headquarter was located there as well as Modena was the place where Enzo Ferrari was born. The red color used in racing was the Italian national color for motor sport.

Yes It's Me now that I’ve had the carbon for a couple of months, I want the 2020 MBP with the latest keyboard. The carbon keyboard is delightful, but the cleanliness of the MBP is unbeatable. Also you are correct about the 2017-2018 MBP keyboard and slow typists. I’m no court stenographer but I’m pretty damn quick

I will be comparing the with the XPS 15 and MacBook Pro. It depends what your after. The Extreme is very conservative on the clocks temps and performance. If that’s what you want the Extreme is a good choice. It has the 2x M.2 slots, 2x Thunderbolt 3 and the best keyboard. Which are the advantages over the XPS 15. The screen was badly calibrated in the whites and the track pad was no good to edit video. It was a bit choppy editing too.The XPS is faster tuned for higher performance, better track pad and design for mine. Also was smooth video editing plus faster exports and gaming FPS. I think for your use it will be better too. If you want to go Lenovo I would get the P1 with the Quadro

Thanks Tally Ho for a great video. As way of background, I would appreciate your assistance. Having worked in a management consultancy business for a number of years I am about to set up my own management consultancy business. This will include executive coaching, leadership training, organisational design and structure operating models and a bunch of other training both F2F and digital. There will also be client presentations, however most of the prep work etc will be done from home on this device. I am now looking for a new Lap top and was thinking of the XI Carbon generation 8 or 7 and the Microsoft Surface lap top 3 with the i7. Also deciding between a 13' and 15' screen. Could I kindly obtain your recommendation on a lap top that would last me say 3-5 years. Many thanks, Keith

While the Stinkpads are known to be good, I will definitely say they are greatly outdated in design. I have seen some Yogas in different colors but the X1 Carbon and Extreme do look very boring. It's obvious Lenovo is trying to get the Stinkpads into more mainstream consumers but they will forever be known as the boring business class computer if they don't upgrade these boring designs.
And while Stinkpads have a decent rep, the Carbon and the X1E have a great deal of reported problems. The Carbon's screen bows. Many complaints of warped screens. The X1E has thermal issues, gets hot, drains battery and the fans are noisy. The Lenovo Stinkpads are NOT the IBM versions. Plenty of legacy customers here are trashing other brands but the truth is the Stinkpads are not perfect by any means.
