Like what homelander son did to Stormfront.
And like others mentioned: he lost lots of brain mass
@@raulbarros8077 I think the regeneration, strength and resistance V gives varies a lot, kimiko can regenerate limbs, stormfront can't, sister sage only regenerates her brain, black noirs regeneration probably wasn't strong since you can still see his skin was burnt when meave unmasks him so he probably cant regrow stuff like limbs or brain

Why didn't they start with the mind control? Was he too strong initially?
Yeah he had a resistance to it, that’s why even when he got hit with it he didn’t go down like anybody else would
Probably wasn’t distracted and they wanted there licks in before finishing the job
Bro look at Soldier Boy....All of them charged on him together and he threw all of them...You really think Mindstorm could do shit to him all alone?
The plan probably was for the twins too set him up for mindstorm. Then have BN and the others hold him down and gas him. Obviously emtions got in the way, and costed BN half his face and mind
Yeah, I think the TNT ray was probably the strongest single hit move they had so that's why they chose to start with it
After reading about what Noir is like in the comics man do I appreciate what the show did with him
i reaaaally hope noir somehow shows up in the next season. it seems unlikely but he deserved more screentime 😞 he and frenchie were my favorites through the entire show
I heard that Black Noir is done but the actor that played him would do a different character.
He dead. But pretty sure sam from gen v gonna be bn 2.0
Really cool how they gave Noir all this backstory, screen time, and pathos, only to have none of this matter to the narrative or resolution of the plot.

A small detail that really stuck with me for some reason was how BN mentions that everyone will go along with the plan and betray SB except Gunpowder. He may have been a despicable side character, but that line alone showed that he was truly loyal to SB. And SB probably never even realised it. Kind of sad in a way.
Didn't sb fingered gunpowder, and also he was a minor in that time so
@@alas6260 no just beat him up to make him to scared to betray

Poor Noir :( behind that mask he’s just as scared and sensitive as anyone.
This humanized him so much for me. Dude is an example of authority bias and resentment. he could get rid of his abuser while still sticking to the status quo. Truly he was a lamb herded in the wrong direction.

GUYS I can’t be the only one that saw this, his brain came out, and last I check, that’s usually an automatic I am dead, not I am disabled now, And from homelander which was super sad to see, isn’t it possible that he COULD have survived that? He literally got his head bashed and hes about as strong as homelander let alone the fact he was atleast able to make him bleed with just a punch, isn’t it possible Black Noir is alive from this? maybe hes got another PTSD but looking back, if he survived his brain coming out, then maybe having his organs out isn’t really gonna kill him? maybe he just bled out from the loss of blood BUT comes back because hes super human!
I wish we got to see the fight in "irl" instead of the animation but it is good too! Creative.

Even in cartoon style, it's brutal asf. Poor Noir :(
The fact that Mindstorm punched Soldier Boy 1:01 and drew blood... is kinda scary, that would make him one of the most powerful supes on earth, having not only the power to control the minds of whoever look into his eyes but also injure a man who could withstand (and later generate) a nuclear explosion head on.
Yeah I think that blood was only wishful thinking on Black Noir's part. I wouldn't trust the minutiae of the details of his recollection given the state of his brain

I don’t like how they just kinda killed him after this.
You know we may not even be seeing the full picture as young Stan Edgar was played by Justiin Davis but in Noir’s flashback he is voiced by Giancarlo Esposito. Sure that may have just been a small oversight but I think it means Noir’s memory was damaged when Soldier Boy bashed his head in with the shield
It’s crazy that Noir barely had a personality before this. He had a really fulfilling character arc in like two episodes
What you're expecting when this sequence starts: Loony Tunes
What you actually got: Happy Tree Friends
I went from hating him to sympathizing with him in one episode. And they did it with cartoons
I love how Noir likes Homelander because he messes with everyone but him, & hates Soldier Boy because he messed with him. Nice to see where his priorities lye
He was told Homelander would fix everything.
Then he had his brains bashed in.
He’s clinging to hope as he has lost touch with reality
Homelander doesn't mess with him (until, yk) because he was the only one who got shit done right (for Vought)
Seeing Nior personify himself as a black sheep is a hell of a detail. reflects his feelings about his early days position in Payback and Vaught as a whole.

Something about noir just wanting to feel safe with soldier boy gone and losing his ability to speak and basically turning disabled because of it
