A set of Billy Bonkers rarely fails to bring a vintage frame bang up-to-date, nice work!

Looks lovely! Do you mind sharing exact crank arms that you are using here? because I am on hunt of some used crank arms or crankset which I can strip on a budged for 1x conversion. Ty,

Thanks for watching, the cranks are shimano hollowtec Deore cranks, 104bcd I think

There's a 95 Hardrock Sport my size available near me and I'm tempted, especially since I'm too uncomfortably short for bigger wheels. I mostly ride on the road, though, with some gravel bikepacking when the mood strikes. Think some new tires would make a Hardrock decent for 25+ mile road days?

With some semi slick tyres, like schwalbe city jets, or marathons, yeah it would be good for 25 miles a day - and it would be comfortable too!

Love the video, A friend of mine gave me the exact same bike. This is my first conversion, just learning. What size rims and tires did you use? Couldn't quite hear. Bike looks amazing, love the bars. Thanks man.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I’m not sure on the rim width, but the tyres are 26x2.1 on the back and 2.25 up front I believe 👍👍👍

Awesome build dude. About how much do you believe you spent on the entire build. Loving the restomod.

Cheers man, as I already had most of the parts I didn’t spend much, but the tyres were about £50, handlebar £30, cables etc £15

What make 26 wheel bikes great for this is the bikes overall size for travel and lightweight for putting on rack or bike box. 29ERS seem like bears when moving in and out of hotels / packing up or in the back of a truck for transport.

Couldn’t agree more! Even better is that you can normally get spares for 9 speed 26ers anywhere!!!
