Great video and what great method for rc conversion. I'm scouting the net for a decent cost effective way to convert my kids 1:16th Massey and see all sorts of methods. I thought the Tamiya gearbox would be a bit too weak for the scale, your nut and tube idea for attaching the wheels is brilliant!! I think ill go this way too. First thought I'd get two geared motors and hubs but your way seems to be a better idea
The tractor is one of my favourite conversions. Runs very well. I think I improved the wheel attachment in the later videos (see the sprinter transmission - I think I did this better). 🙂👍

@@RCModders i saw it. nice one too. whats the length of the driveshaft on them tamyia gearboxes? cant estimate it from the video, looks like 12-13cm. i've got a couple of 12v 100rpm geared motors for that 1:16 we have. saw people using 25mm tube for housing the motors and flanges to attach the wheels. ive converted a 1:60 Bruder truck using WPL gearbox and diff. works fine, just no suspension. looking forward to the MACK conversion. saw the pilot episode, well done

Just measured one - 100mm or 4 inches approximately.
When you put the rear wheels on the wrong way wrecked my day.
