You can also use this to find problems in your mix: anywhere where you get a lot of dots in the same spot, you have a problem, because multiple instruments are sharing the same frequency and panning
super cool plugin. thanks man! and you're right, very cool for sampling!!! i also have a hybrid studio, so your vids are right up my alley. cheers, bud...
Very Good, I'm Brazilian, I always comment on your Videos hahaha! How do I record the Computer screen with Logic output audio at the same time? How do you record your videos? Congratulations on the Channel, I am very grateful for the knowledge you have brought to us!
Thank you! I use the Quicktime player for the screen and audio recording. As audio input I use the line input of the Mac Pro which is connected to the analog mixer. You can also use the first two inputs of the audio interface as the audio source.
Hi, just found your channel and subscribed! I have a vocal track i want to pitch correct with Flex. Only it has guitar bleed on it i can’t remove (and that causes artifacts and phasing when Flex tries to “correct” it). Do you think Peel could remove the guitar completely, or almost completely? I’m also thinking of trying Melodyne Polyphonic and iZotope Rx de-bleed, if you’re familiar and can comment on those. thanks.
Mmm! I still hear parts of the instruments that are playing in the same frequency as the vocals. I guess when you play it back with the playback you could get phasing problems.
I am using the TRIAL version of PEEL but when I cover an area of the sound, I still hear the original track and not the isolated sound. I just put in an audio file. Am I doing something wrong? I am new to DAWs so I wouldn't be surprised if this was simple. I'm using FL Studio.
I had the MX8000 before and I have to say it was ok, especially considering the price :) Lot’s of features and pretty clean sounding. Even though it was second hand, it was basically new - not much used by the previous owner. However, I sold it because the Soundcraft is soundwise quite a step forward. Less noise, very nice EQs and preamps and the built quality is overall better.
Bad sound. Too much artifacts. I can achieve the same result with some good EQ-ing, the only thing is Peel is faster but i am not impressed with the quality of the results. This is just a toy, not for (semi)professionals.
Ya there plugins from 10-15 years ago that did this better which I think is weird. But since everyone’s not willing to do a lil digging guess there stuck with this.

Interesting. Thanks for that.
Great solution for listening for errors...sort of like a real-time Izotope RX window.

Thank you!
thanks.very good tutorial
Thank you!
That is very interesting. But how You record/export the altered track? I can manage to isolate something using my DAW (Reaper).
Use Render from the file menu.

It depends where the guitar is in the mix. If it is on the left or right it might work but if it is in center together with the vocal it won‘t.

I’m having trouble downloading this to my Logic Pro /:

I'm using FL Studio.
Try pressing the EQ button in the the window, this enables oder disables the selection.

ok thank you very much for your answer. continue to make us beautiful videos
Will it work great to extract bass tracks ?
anywhere on the audio spectrum can be isolated... so... yes
Why you don't show how to use it for beginners?
I get triggered by that stupid mouse. WTF was Apple thinking?
RipX is way way way better!
