Remember. With inland taipans. Handle from the middle of the body, antivenom is for "kitties", and ask facebook for antivenom once handling from the middle of the body doesn't work.
I’m an Aussie and snakes are an everyday thing for us especially because we’re in a rural area. We don’t mess with any species of taipans we have a lot of respect for them and try to avoid them like the plague along with tiger snakes, black snakes, Eastern browns and mulgas (king browns).
@@christensing2904 I wish the amount of respect that you all have for your native animals was shared around this planet. Your country is beautiful and your native animals are amazing!
@@Citizenlyng I kind of agree Chandler being on an even keel, semi calm and just normal is such a nice thing to see. And OMG the other guy not trying to sound like a national geographic announcer and just coming across as AI. He still needs some help in not acting like an AI invention in his movements- very robotic in the way he moves not at all natural. I use this channel to help me sleep because the AI voice knocks me right out best sleeping pill in the world. But this episode I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it.
What an excellent video and collab, it's great to see two passionate, educated, and respectful people working with wildlife. As an Australian, I feel obliged to tell you that cassowaries are deranged. I'd rather encounter one of Joey's insane coastal taipans than have to deal with a cassowary 😅
@@SP-jf3wg Tyler and Chandler are a lot to handle just the two of them, I don't think Joey could adapt and handle it. He was so out of himself with Chandler in this video that his robotic movements would completely stop with Tyler's over the top online personality.
It is rather amusing watching Chandler dial it back several notches, he knew to keep things a little more professional. On his channel it seems almost normal to show snakes off on the ground where they are often getting way into the strike range for lower legs.
Keep Dingo in your prayers. He was tagged and has been in a medically induced coma for nearly 3 weeks. He had been tagged by a mamba before and was allergic to the antivenin and so he went into anaphylactic shock and has been in that coma since.
@@RollinsRoyalConstrictors yeah I’m actually not 100% sure what he got tagged by, but I am assuming that it probably was a mamba considering he went into anaphylactic shock immediately and he’s talked so much about how allergic he was to the mamba antivenin.
Love your videos, could you do a video on general handling techniques/snake care? The focus of these videos so far has been mainly the specific snakes, but I think there’s lots of people like me would enjoy some videos on what it’s like to own snakes in general!
Ah, this is so amazing!!! I love seeing them goofing around and nerding over venomous snakes 😂 is the Joey gonna get a crock now??? (No, not new crocs 😂)
Dear Joey. Greetings from Hungary . That was a great video and is was good to see you guys together. Chandler has the skills, allways says be se safe, but I dont know that people get that everytime from his videos, because you know, he is little bit goofy. So I think when we are talking about safe venomous handling, your videos make more correct example. I like your calm style. Wish you the best!
The talk of birds and no Wedge tailed eagle love lol, but its understandable. Cant have a wedge tailed eagle and drones, gliders and small planes in the same room.
Hey, Chandler great video as always. With your black mamba cage once you clean it really good, you can put some mineral oil in the tracks for the glass to get them to slide easier and it won't hurt the snakes.
Kookaburras are cool birds but it's rare to see them as pets. You'll usually find them at zoos or wildlife sanctuaries. They're everywhere near my grandparent's place in country Victoria though, they have the funniest call 😅 I loved the owl too, I think he was my favourite.
4:29 look at those arm / ac viens on both of them! It's not uncommon to see people's hand viens, but their viens from the fingers to the shoulders are visible from a mile away. No tourniquet needed. Crazy. It really does seem like 99% of the creators on youtube have amazing viens. 8:10 Joey's arm right here is insane! The viens are popping like CRAAAZY all thru this video hah.
i went to animal con and he was very rude. He was also smoking weed and was high telling me he was high the day before we went to the event at 12:00 am at night
@@floridacracker_ cuz he was being rude. also at an event full of children, told mine that he was smoking weed in front of my kid. also was rude at the evenr
@OatsBryce yeah, doubt he did that. If so, sorry to hear that. Everyone makes mistakes. I've made plenty at his age. My kids heard that before from dudes I knew and pissed me off also. It's all how you raise them. Neither my boys won't touch it and 1 is 22 close to his age. Raise em right..
Dude you are nervous as hell with Chandler lol 😂 I probably would be but then again I’m a good ole country boy so we would click Chandler is a smart guy when it comes to knowledge of Animals love watching the dude
0:55, Aw the wittle baby snake, crazy how much trust you have in them. I always thought snakes were scaly and hard but they are actually quite squishy! Don't worry it wasn't venomous and definitely didn't try and hold it, the handler let us touch the snake and its crazy how it feels and looks different.
No footage of camels?! Just kidding, I'm a new subscriber here after your vid about the taipan bite, it was awesome to see you with Chandler and handling his snakes!!
The inland taipan, should have never left Australia. I wonder what Steve Irwin (RIP) would be saying about this issue. But, because some snake owners have to have every venomous snake in existence, they have left this country & have caused more harm to overseas owners. They should not be bred outside of Australia either. There should be stricter policies with all venomous snakes.
Remember. With inland taipans. Handle from the middle of the body, antivenom is for "kitties", and ask facebook for antivenom once handling from the middle of the body doesn't work.
Great idea.
I liked the shade they threw. "Captive Inland Taipans (almost) never bite their handlers."
