I don't have much floss right now. I use to. But I was thinking just before your video popped up, that I don't want this small stash to get away from me. I don't do any embroidery right now. I use it for other things. Was wanting to get back to it though. I already use the jar idea for fiber arts and sewing. But hadn't thought of dividing it by color. I will probably go back to the plastic box and bobbins when I get back into embroidery But, I must say, the one that intrigued me the most was the bins and ziploc bags. I'm a fan of ziploc bags. Lol. I see the potential of this in other areas of my craft area. Thank you for the wonderful ideas!
I totally agree! I had to hop on my stash before it got even more cluttered. I'm glad the ziploc bag system gave you some inspiration for your craft area! Thanks so much for sharing and watching!
you can take all your little scraps of thread place them in between tule and disapearing interfacing stitch it all down will make nice fabric for cross stitch project bag
I think storage in sachet is the best solution. I search a solution to storage flosstube in several duplicate colors.... In sachet is good. I think I will choice that. I want to see at a glance which flosstube is missing and I don't want to take too much space. 500 DMC colors take space, especially if we have many duplicate in the same color. 😲
I can't wait to see what you do with those floss scraps! I just got over the guilt of throwing my out (as I stitch), and now I might have to start saving them again. LOL!
I liked the box with the little baggies the best. Although you can't see the colors at a glance like the other two, it is easier to just plop them in a baggie. I would think that having the chart would be helpful when you store the floss that way. Thanks for sharing, I'm glad we connected.

My daughter had floss from bracelets. Besides embroidery, they're good for mending, making bookmarks, etc. That's why I save scraps. Tina, Al's wife

Aren't they so hard to throw away?? So glad I finally started using the jars. I'll keep you updated on my jar scrap progress!

Happy to share! You're absolutely right! The chart really helps for the bag/numeric storage system. 🙌
