This is perhaps my favourite Ostriv build ever, great work Patmos! I do agree that a second bridge is soon needed - from a historical perspective not the least. Villagers in those times would be quite eager to have a swift way to the chapel and the burial site.
Not sure if you have had any thoughts about which animals to add yet but I've always thought from a historical point of view that horses would've been used before any other animals due to them being able to be used to help people migrate to the village, then used to cart things around town aswell as them being a food source too
Thank you for bringing that up! I have been thinking about it. I think people would come with there own horse and wagon or on foot, but most likely with there own horse, so they should all at least have a horse. But I think people would also take some small animals with them. So families would probably have like 2 goats, a few chickens maybe even a single cow in a pen next to there house. The industrialization of those things would happen only when the town got bigger. Why build a Chicken Coop for all to use if everybody can have 5 chickens running around the house and keeping insect populations under control and give free eggs etc. But I guess for game mechanics etc its done how it is now. What are your ideas on small animals? Would they bring those? Having said that I guess the first animals will most likely be cows for the hides/leather and make shoes if it, since the people need it. But that is because of the game mechanics, since we need shoes. Otherwise I might go for chickens or sheep. Horses make sense, especially for transport etc, but we need stables, saddler, wagon-shed and all those need men to work in them. Don't know if we have the men available already for the whole horse business yet. But maybe we can build a single Cowshed and order a few cows. They need time to reproduce anyways and also only get the stable and a few horses so they can reproduce to. I will think about it! Thanks!
@PatmosIV Yes, I believe you are correct with the small animals but I understand the game mechanics don't work that way and only allow for animals to be kept in a group all together, cows being used as beasts of burdens to pull carts and plow fields also makes sense
Guys. Derkachi sells leather, so you don't need cows for that. You can buy leather, supply your citizens with shoes and sell the surplus with great profit back to Derkachi 😉
@@allxander1 Well that is partly true. Leather you buy for 0,25 a unit. You sell shoes for 0,32 a unit. So that is 0.07 margin. And you have to take the wage for the people of the trader and the laborers for transport and the workers in the shoemaker into account for their wages. So yes there is a little bit of money to be made if your town is efficient. Its less then it seems at first glance though. And since this will be a somewhat historic town it is way more accurate for the time to make a town this is mostly self-sufficient then trying to maximize profit for the town.
@@PatmosIV Well, this is also partially true, as you don't hire the trader and the transporting guys (e.g. in the wagon shed) specifically for the shoes made using the leather from Derkachi. In addition you would need to pay to the guys in the cowshed and tannery in order to produce your own leather and in the shoemaker's workshop to produce the shoes.

Thank you! Really appreciate all the love you are sending!
