The point of the chevron should always be towards the driver - to visually "bounce" the driver back towards the lane. If the chevrons are pointed away from the driver, it visually "pulls" the driver out of the lane. If going left to right, chevrons should always be
That new highway junction looks like something from my hometown. However we had a truck stop/enroute rest stop for all highway users with Restaurants, gas, etc. I think that would be a great addition!
Hello, Biffa! Another fine example of building junctions in motorways! I have two suggestions, though: 1. The three armed roundabout which you built at the end, only needs two lanes! Question of lane mathematics, you know! ;-) 2. When you build two junctions close to each other, you better connect them with two exchange roads next two the main roads, so no switching between ramps and mainroad in between.. Thus you avoid traffic jams on the main road.
For Building spawn point issues at the car factory: I have noticed in my own games that if the spawn points are too far from a road, it will prevent things from spawning. Usually when this happens you can look at the building info window and see the number of trucks in use bounce from 0 to 1 and back to 0 right away.
When i saw your video’s cover image, i was sure you are going to mention him, and definitly you were. This is my biffa, loving your content and your support to other cities skylines youtubers.
Watching this series in its proper order, so great to see how New Tealand turned so big from the moment you started around that junction by the sea in the first episode. So far New Tealand is my favorite Biffa city, it's beautiful! In The Netherlands we have lots of parclos, they... rock. 🙂 Can't wait to see what'll be built around the parclo in this episode. Perhaps a nice park down the river in between the future high density stuff down there?
36:00 I know Parclo junctions work like this but don't the dark blue and dark green & purple lanes cross. Instead you could use a stack interchange.☺️ 38:11 the marking on the edge of the road is dotted but it should be normal.☺️ Like your videos. Keep up the good work.♥❤️♥☺️
Don't forget to put at least two VIP mansion living areas, like Teaverly Hills and more of a beach mansions Tealibu/Teavetian Islands(like Venetian ones in Miami)
Is this the second episode in a row where Biffa spends a ton of time next to his metro haulky balkiness (@43:56) without noticing? That's why we love the B-man!

My absolute top CS channel on RUclips is yours though Biffa. Proper British sense of humour and you build in such a way to give us mere mortals hope that we can emulate you to some degree. Thank you.
44:08 This new roundabout works far better than I expected - so you could add some new vehicles / connect another road to it. And that new area you built not so long ago could really use an additional access road. 43:55 "Do I want to put a crossing there?" - maybe you just connect more side streets to you P+B bridge above the roundabout to utilize that bridge even more.
Biffa, so you know for future reference, you can use the ''Reset Objects" option in MoveIt to regenerate any historical building exactly as it was when placed. This would negate the need to demolish and re-spawn it once it gets abandoned.
I love how detailed you are with the roads and the importance you put on functionality because in reality, the US road system is chaotic 🤣 Driving through cities like STL is much like a game of “will I crash today or will I make it to my destinations.”
Great episode the parclo looks great! One thing I noticed while doing the roundabout at the end, the metro right next to it clips through the ground super weirdly. Not sure what happened there, but should be an easy fix
@ 44:01 I noticed a bit of grassy terrain crossing over the train tracks right before it goes underground. instead of fixing it id make a path overtop for pedestrians
What is the exact reason to not use a full clo here? The parclo will make it so that people coming from the left and right (read: onto the bridge from either end) and want to go left onto the highway from their point of view will have to make left turns at the respective ends of the crossbridge. The whole point of a clo is to avoid left turn traffic crosses. A full clo would serve left turners (from the bridge ends) the same as it now serves right turners as well as either turners who come off the highway. Amazing video as always, Biffa. Loving the detail, love, and work you put into these. You have no idea how entertaining and fun to watch your videos are!
44:10 For 3 roads converging to a round-about, you don't need a three-lane round-about No one uses the inner-most lane "One less lane than the number of roads converging to the round-about" 4 (2way, any width) roads joining the round-about, you need 3 lanes 3 (2way, any width) roads joining the roundabout, only 2 lanes needed
When you have 2 junctions so close to each other like that, split the 2 sides of the main road apart and have the on ramp go underneath the main carriageway and join a dedicated central lane instead of the outside lane slightly further on than the exit for the second junction and have a small slip road that joins from your on ramp to the off ramp of the next junction. That way you have zero crossover at the junctions but all cars can access all exits and entances to all junctions.
Hi Biffa, You making an highway exit it is just magnificent. I was waiting for this moment since a long time. Well done. It is your 500k special built to me. Thanks for your great video. Cheers.
Just found your series and am catching up. My suggestion on the Parclo is that you almost have a pair of roundabouts at each side of the highway. If you actually complete the last leg of each circle, you can eliminate the left turn crossing the 6-lane street and delete the traffic lights altogether. Oher than that, loving watching what you do. I have more fun watching you create instead of actually logging and building my own city. Need a new mod for the game - a Biffa voice over for actions taken in our own games :lol for example, go away trees, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Probably already in comments but Biffa I thought maybe to help with the exit/entry lanes for your custom Parclo and the preexisting interchange you could do your Parclo exit lanes come off the highway before the entrance lanes from other interchange and have a frontage road style thing where traffic swaps lanes not on highway. This allows the two junctions to be that close without shortening or having sharper angles for the exit/entrance lanes and also allows the cars to swap lanes at nodes and take the different routes without disrupting highway traffic. Anyways, good video as always. Keep it up!
I've been sitting on a few suggestions since I haven't been at my computer in a bit. Particularly #2 and #3 may not be needed anymore. :^) 1. For the spider hub, consider having the metros continue through from one end through the station to the other. This maybe isn't necessary today, but might be useful when the serviced areas fill later to avoid trains pile ups at the station for track switching. 2. Give the school people an over-road road into the commercial area at what is presently Laurel Park like was done between Laurel Park and the city center. (Maybe even use the closest intersection.) This was originally in the interest of alleviating traffic through the roundabout there. 3. 4 or 5 video old suggestion now: instead of having the metro go immediately underground in that area, pass it over the roundabout and have it descend in the Laurel Park zone. That way the citizens won't have a roller coaster ride through the area. Not sure how possible this is now that there's a roundapath there and the other space has generally filled.
You really waited until the last moment to align your nodes. Had me on edge for a while. Just one of the first things I hit if my textures arent jiving.
I was wondering when the traffic flow guru Biffa would discover such a junction, finally the most common junction type I know has been made! Well done! PS: you can make it more compact if you delete the paralell road bits and let it join/leave right after the viaduct. Also possible is having both loops on the same side of the viaduct
Why are my ears ringing? Is someone talking about me? 😆
No idea who that would be 🤔😋👍

Great episode the parclo looks great! One thing I noticed while doing the roundabout at the end, the metro right next to it clips through the ground super weirdly. Not sure what happened there, but should be an easy fix
Happened before, and was fixed, now broken again. Something weird going on there.
Watching you build that parclo was soooo satisfying.
CPP & Biffa new episodes on the mornings that’s a very good way to start the day, thanks for the amazing content.
I dont care how bad the time difference is, I’m watching Biffas new video
Should've name the Office district
'Sugar Cube district'
because idk is it just me or those look like Sugar cube you usually put in Coffea/tea 😂

For 3 roads converging to a round-about, you don't need a three-lane round-about
No one uses the inner-most lane
"One less lane than the number of roads converging to the round-about"
4 (2way, any width) roads joining the round-about, you need 3 lanes
3 (2way, any width) roads joining the roundabout, only 2 lanes needed
5B1C and Biffa, this Saturday is off to a great start. Also so cool to see the shout out to YUMBL! 😊
Hi Biffa,
You making an highway exit it is just magnificent.
Yumble! GTA rp'd with the dude. Amazing guy.
Hey Bird :)
Keep it up!
The interchange you built is amusing because I drive on one every week that is very very similar. Quite cool
Name the mall "Hey big splenda"
I'm a simple man, I see a Biffa notification, I click
Same here same here
The best city builder and city problem fixer on cities skylines!
We need more traffic fix episodes though. 😁
@@PerfectAlibi1 it’s been a while for sure
I've been sitting on a few suggestions since I haven't been at my computer in a bit. Particularly #2 and #3 may not be needed anymore. :^)
6:45 there are light props you can use to help light up the rock. that's if they'll attach to it.

Biffa's cities' problems has historically been very low in industrial zoning.
