Dimash never copy the original. He makes it his own. And that’s uniquely dimash. I understand you have a bias for that song is queen. The vocal coach role is to dissect the song and how it should be done. The personal opinion should be set aside. What you watch is dimash, he makes his own music. He just used the original as an inspiration. Even in his own song he never sung it the same twice. He put variations. You will see that as you react along the way. His rendition should not be compared to the original either for you will be disappointed. Dimash is of his own. His music is called dimash. There’s good singers, there’s great singer, there’s extra ordinary singers and then there’s dimash. In his lane he is the only one. What you see is just a surface of what he can do. He is unpredictable.

beautifully written..... Dimash tears these songs apart & rearranges them & he is the Only one who can sing his version...... I Luv Queen.... I watched the famous 1985 Live Aide performance live in Philadelphia & they showed Queen performing in England so I Luv Freddie..... but even Freddie can't touch Dimash & this guy did a good review & was very complimentary to Dimash
like Dimash, Freddie Mercury had a wild range & insane power..... personally what I find also similar about Dimash & Freddie is that both men have huge beautifully formed Square Jaw lines....... so when they do they drop Jaw motion, flatten the tongue & lift the palette the amount of Resonance they generate in that Cavernous Jaw is absolutely Insane! If the Mic is not adjusted properly they will literally blow out the sound system
But what is Diff about Dimash & Freddie is that Freddie was Known for his wild, unpredictable Belts & pure power..... Dimash has an even Wider range & even More pure horse power but what Dimash also brings is Crazy control, accuracy & seamless transitions.....
This is what makes Dimash truly unique b/c often when a performer has a huge voice like Freddie or Dimash they know they can just go up on stage Live & just whip that monster out & it's going to make the crow go Wild
where a performer that doesn't have the same impressive size might work really hard to achieve technical proficiency to satisfy the audience b/c he can't knock you over w/ pure power & size of Voice
Dimash not only has more horse power & a higher range than anyone alive but he Also more technically consistent than anyone else also & that's just Nutz

Dimash is a writer, producer, and arranger. I've observed that he comes at his arrangements from the operatic viewpoint. The story is always the foundation of the musical arrangement. As an A&R, I have watched us fall further away from that foundation, especially in the pop and rock genre. If you have a great story, you can build one hell of a theme around it. Dimash took this on because he saw the great story it told. Folks admire his vocal ability, but he is much more than a singer. I could only imagine representing such a great talent.

Initially I thought it will be normal to listen to him being as normal Kazakh person. But then Dimash started to grow, grow and all his performances at Voice in China made me personally to follow him every day that time and I really now got sick of listening to him, especially when he sings in native mother Kazakh language. You become so happy and proud that there is a person who really attracts all people around the world by his powerful voice. Good Reaction. I am late to comment, so someone may have told you. Dimash knew almost no English at this time. He had one week to learn the song, and it was taught to him phonetically. He always arranges his music to showcase his abilities - but in a respectful way. He feels the emotion of the music and applies his own take to everything he does.

Succinct reaction - really liked your focus on his voice and technique as too many reactors nit-pick his pronunciation rather than the unique arrangement and the killer ending.
I reckon Freddie would be proud that his signature song is not being imitated but, instead, reinstated as a classic that only the best singers will ever master.

Freddy decided to make the song lighter in nature to hide his pain...watch the video.
Dimash made this into a masterpiece to emit the pain Freddy was feeling. Raw, emotions.

As Freddy said do my music just don't make it boring. Show must go on was recorded by Freddy, Bryant did some of the vocals since Freddy died before they finished it, so if you ask me this is not Freddy's song, he never did it live. Elton John did it for his tribute. Save me or Somebody to love or Another one bites the dust, Bohemian Rhapsody are his songs but like you say music is subjective... Nice analysis Dimash has been training since 5 years old, his mom is an opera singer, his dad is a singer. He plays 7 instruments and at 26 he finished his master in music composition I think and started his phd in music. The guy is a Clef symbol. He was born for this. This year he codirected his first MV and it is gorgeous.

I think you should know that Yerlan Bekchurin is Dimash's irreplaceable personal arranger. He arranges the vast majority of Dimash's songs. He is a self-taught genius with no musical education.

Dimash does not sing his own songs the same way twice, and if he is singing a song that has previously been sung by another performer..he will keep to the thyme of the song, but make his version his own...So be prepared when you watch.."Hello" it will not be Lionel's version...He sings several songs that were originally performed by Lara Fabian and Celine Dion..both of whom complemented Dimash on his performance...

well i think Dimash should wait for at least 2 more years to touch on this song, he is grate singer but a song to big for him, as a massive Freddie fan i feel like the message of this son was lost in this song. I know u are big fans but let's be fair - it's not about the singer its about song history :). I love Dimash i wish all best for him and his fans in future .
