It’s odd that the Jedi didn’t have a problem with torturing Bane, but when Anakin did it to Poggle it was seen as a “dark moment” with the Imperial March playing. Just like when Ahsoka decapitates those 4 Death Watch soldiers it’s brushed off as nothing but when Anakin kills Trench in self defense they play an eerie theme.
@@CraigMcGuinn idk what you’re one about. When did I say it excused anything all I was saying is the jedi didn’t have a problem with the things they did but had a problem with anakin doing similar things because they were done out of anger
George intentionally made the separatist army non-human to lessen the impact of their mass killing by the Jedi in the Clone War series. This allowed our focus to be on the Dark Side characters and bounty hunters who were not actually killed but captured. The aim was to demonstrate the Jedi's fall by showcasing the negative effects of the war, leading them to use their Jedi powers for evil. This entire plan was orchestrated by Palpatine, who becomes increasingly sinister as we witness his clever strategies to undermine and corrupt the Jedi. This ultimately diminishes the public's admiration for the Jedi, making it easier to accuse them of treason. The storytelling in this regard is incredibly profound and compelling. There is a difference between temporary discomfort (even to pain) on a hardened criminal and what the Sith do. This kind of "OMG they were already dark then" is the kind of fearful thinking woven into the Jedi Code which made the Jedi blind to see the forest for the trees, so to speak, and led to Order 66. They were not in the Dark Side here. If anything, they were wielding The Force more like Revan (not just the dark, nor only the light, but The Force). Well Cad Bane experienced enough force to speak up. He did not die nor was he permanently brain damaged. Maybe we should pad the lightsabers so people just get knocked over because killing is bad.
Cad Bane was the fucking "Don". The most charismatic, engaging, fearless and ruthless character.

It’s the whole thing about anakin doing it out of anger
Sigh. People are stupidly trying to justify acts of Evil by pointing out other acts of Evil. It's no different than real life today.
@@tvvistedv3nom26the reasoning behind doing dark things never excuses doing the dark things themselves

He kidnapped children. Plus all the other stuff. ?? They did nothing wrong.
