Just a warning to users, installation of this compensator may be significantly harder than video depicts.. I needed so much torque it about broke the mounting block in half! This is in reference to an FN 509 which the video is not showing. You can easily damage the compensator flanges if you do not lift/hold them off the slide during install. The comp in this video does not have flanges and is much easier to torque. I wouldn't recommend this, but i'll put this out there.. on my second install, I used blue loctite on the PMM comp and it was worked fine plus it made uninstall 100x easier than rocksett or red loctite.
how do I know how many shins should I be adding to the barrel before installing the comp? I ordered the jttc with your company barrel combo for a glock19 gen5
Late comment but yea, this is something to consider before you buy. I’ve realized essentially there are almost no problems with cleaning and more importantly lubricating. There are 2 spots you’ll never be able to reach with the comp on and that’s the hole where the barrel sticks out of, and the area of the slide underneath the front sight post. You can get creative and get some long bendy brush to hack away in those tight spots but it shouldn’t be necessary, as long as you lubricate that area which is still possible. Just apply closer to the barrel hood and tilt downwards. Everywhere else you can clean or lube just fine, it’s obviously however more cumbersome to do so given that the slide and barrel are now permanently attached. Honestly, try for yourself. Simply field strip your piece but keep the barrel hanging on like the video shows and see how well you can clean, your mileage may vary.
Can't turn it like this on the pdp. The comp fits over the front of the slide by a couple mm so you have to rotate the comp until it stops on the barrel and then back it off and check fitment to make sure it allows barrel lock up in the slide.
Yes, the locktite doesn’t break down with heat like rocksett does. Heavy use and rocksett will result in potential coming loose if the proper pre tension wasn’t done.
You want to have it hand tight with the proper shim alignment with the corner of the comp lining up with the front sight. This is so you can apply the locktite and use your wrench and vise to crank it on into place.
Hello Jarod and everyone at PMM! Did a lot of research before deciding your JTTC Ultra was the way to go for my FN 509C Tactical. I am looking for a little clarification on installation. I sent you all an e-mail per the website instructions. Hoping someone can get back to me to help clear up a question I had. Trying to get this installed tonight :)
Thank god i bought an agency comp instead of this bs. it should not be this hard to mount a comp. use set screws and loctite. its not hard. and its reliable.

Same
Should've read this comment first instead of watching the video a million times wondering how he turned that so easily.
Same. Bout bent the barrel lol
Same for me on Glock 19, but love the product.
I cant get the barrel out that far on the p229 legion how do get it where both flats of the barrel are showing
Worked perfect for me. The new micro comps aren’t aluminum though so I gave myself a little less distance to crank it. Lined up beautifully

@Dan Pizzi Firearms Instructor I appreciate this info so much TY!
Curious how you clean and lubricate the slide. Specifically the area where the top of the slide and barrel movement occurs?

How many shims did you use?
Is there any particular reason you guys went from using rocksett to red loctite for the threads?

@@ParkerMountainMachineNH good to know. thanks!
I’m a little lost why do you have to put the compensator on crooked first

So that it aligns correctly at final torque
Just got one of these for my Glock 19. She is lean, mean and beautiful!
where's the original PPQ install video? this is different
Works fine on iPhone
Does the comp work on factory barrels
some comps yes and some comps no. Email CS

no audio until 3:50
Weird, it is working for us on multiple devices.
If in headphones it may only be coming out of one ear
Yeah, only my right ear (mono) until the camera change at 3:50 then it's stereo and sounds much better. Still works and thanks for the vid!
Make comps for .40 cal a caliber that could benefit from it.
.40 SW is a useless caliber.
Just get a 45 mr limp wrists

Thank god…
Product is garbage get something with set screws instead this ruined my barrel.
lol “get something with set screws”…. This did not ruin your barrel… poor installation ruined your barrel.
Set screw solutions are significantly less reliable...
