LOVED this entire interview! I have to say, though, best part at the very end was when Michael said “love is a verb”! I fan girled a little. I say that all the time and of course go in to the song!

Oh I loved this. I too was brought up without hate. My brother brought people home from college to stay the night or summer. My dad brought boys home for a home cooked meal from the base he worked. If people made fun of me I never knew it. You see I didn't understand what they were saying, I was confused. One friend said don't you know they are making fun of you and I didn't understand why. I'm 71 and I still don't know why, praise the Lord! 🌱
I am sitting here watching this thinking these people thought on we had to sit around the table every single night with the whole family...and I think wow you GOT to sit with your whole family and no one was drunk or getting smacked around, you were blessed.

Thanks for posting the video! There's definitely a strong family resemblance. The first time I saw Lynda on one of the Gaither videos, I was almost 100 percent sure that she was Michael's sister. Such a talented family! For what it's worth, I had a chance to meet their dad back in 1995 after a DC Talk concert in the Woodlands (TX). After meeting the guys backstage, I sat down and ended up talking with an older black gentleman. We probably talked for 20 minutes before I asked his name and then realized I was talking with "Nate Tait." Wow! That was a day I'll never forget.
I luv Michael Tait! I had tickets to meet him and The Newsboys at Big Ticket Festival in Michigan but then Covid hit. I hope to meet you some day Michael. It would be an honor...Luv from Canada!
I age myself but I remember them being a bit younger! Linda with the Gaither gatherings, Michael w/DC Talk and now with the News Boys! GOD is so FAITHFUL! They even sound alike!!!

This was SOOOOOOO RICH! Always loved #michaeltait and hearing from him and his sister of their experiences have been amazing! Everything from PKs to race to their careers and so on!
I came home listening to the Gaithers and this interview popped up. It was refreshing, transparent and enjoyable and I just learned that Michael Tait is Linda's brother. Such a cool family. Mark and his Co-Host did am awesome job. Blessings family..

I have met them both but never in the same setting. I admire their sibling relationship. Love the example of how she raises her daughters undivided. I too have always been the only black person. Yes, I am black, but that is not how people who know me will remember me.

Can totally relate to ya'll!! My dad is a minister. Members of our church would watch us like a hawk. Other kids could do anything and if we looked wrong we were pounced on and told on!! lol And yes...we lived in the parsonage next to our church as well!! So I can totally relate!!

Oh my gosh, they talked about Leon Pattillo, Larnelle, , and of course the great Russ Taff! And Michael is correct, the Walls CD and Metals were two of Russ Taff‘s best albums. My favorite song by Russ Taff? I Still Believe! Watching this interview was great, and I love Michael’s voice!

Lynda you are beautiful! I love your skin and your hair! I’m from Oklahoma and while my family was learning to accept more color as in my Mexican uncle and my beautiful cousin who is half black and we just cherish her and while that was happening I married a NC boy and living there was twenty years of torture! I asked my husbands black friend who was so good to me to come go to church with me? He said they won’t allow that? It didn’t even connect about his color because in Oklahoma everyone was welcome and he said this isn’t Oklahoma! They will hang me from the nearest tree! It upset me so much. I know how you felt and I’m Native American.
Good point about proverbs 22:6. In the literal Hebrew it's train a lad according to his way indeed when he will cause to age he will not turn aside from it. The Hebrew noun Derek means way and it has the masculine singular vav suffix attached to it meaning his way so it's meaning is one must keep in mind when training a lad the personality and inclinations of the child like interests and temperament and the talents of the child
