One of my first albums as a kid was Judas Priest "Live in Japan Unleashed the East". It Was recorded in Japan, (when they was a much younger band, and a very gifted Robert Halford) at a concert with a massive crowd. It is still my favorite LP by them to date. There isn't much in the way of concert footage, but every song from that LP is available on RUclips. If you know who Joan Biaz is, and heard her song Diamonds & Rust, their cover of it on this LP is amazing! The synced guitar sessions on stage, are a trade mark of theirs, and whom many copy to this day.
Thanks for the reaction to my request. THIS SONG IS FROM 1976 and is actually a Fusion of two songs The Band on this: Rob Halford (Vocals) also knows as "Metal God" Glen Tipton (Lead Guitar) K.K. Downing (Lead Guitar) Scott Travis (Killer Drums) Ian Hill (Bass Guitar) Try "Painkiller" is a killer track from 1990, pure Metal in Your face
@@infin8reactions it's actually not 😆 Maiden became big by touring with Priest and "stealing" lot of their style and music. They dont have a very good relationship.
If you haven't checked out Ronnie James Dio, that's another metal God. I suggest live with him Last in Line is a good start. He was also singing for Black Sabbath for a time also .
Oh, my. Well. If you’ve never even HEARD of Judas Priest, then I’ve got some suggestions for you (album versions are fine by me as I’m not well-versed in their live shows) -Painkiller, 1990. THE quintessential metal song. The whole Painkiller album is a face-melting masterpiece but Nightcrawler and A Touch of Evil are two other standout tracks. -Turbo Lover, 1986-ish. People say this was their worst album but I frickin love this song. Pure 80s Metal goodness. -Breaking the Law, 1980. One of the three Priest tracks that gets any radio airplay on the ‘oldies’ stations (ime) and an absolute CLASSIC -Nostradamus, 2008. A face-melting banger. -Worth Fighting For, 2001. Mid tempo rocker with a steady vibe. -Halls of Valhalla, 2014. Some of my favorite Rob Halford vocal theatrics through the middle. (This song you reacted to is from the 70s but this performance I’d place somewhere in the last 15-20 years based on Rob’s lack of hair )
These are the metal gods. This song is from 1976. They took Iron Maiden on their first tour. Rob voice here is not that good Listen to 83 Us festival same song, you will hear the difference. Try Painkiller next they have so many sounds and styles.
I would recommend anything off the live in Japan 1979 unleashed in east but there’s so much too pick from on any album they made. Priest is second to none

Judas Priest one of the true godfather's of heavy metal

Thanks man, I'll definitely do more from these guys, incredible energy 😁🤘
@@infin8reactions Painkiller studio version is much better. It's the perfect song from Judas Priest
The song is from 1974. Rob is in his 60s here and was actually having some vocal issues at the time.
Whoooa! You've never heard of JP? Better late than never, I say. I would listen to Screaming for Vengeance!
