Marathwada Rail Coach Factory, Latur

Bringing an opportunity of development in this region, Marathwada Rail Coach Factory has been a game changer for the people living here.
Set up at the cost of Rs 625 cr on 350 acres of land, this coach factory is capable of producing 250 coaches per annum.
The bhumi pujan of this factory was done on 31March 2018 by Sh Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister for Railways and the then CM of Maharashtra. The project was sanctioned in August 2018 and work commenced in October 2018. The factory was commissioned on 25.12.2020, the Good Governance Day.
The factory consists of 52000 sqm of pre-engineered sheds and administrative block, canteen and other facilities that include rain water harvesting, recycling of water, tree plantation, LED lights, 33KV electric substation, maximum utilization of natural light etc.
The factory is equipped with state of the art technology and equipment.
from concept to execution, this is a Rail Vikas Nigam Limited project.
