That's called professionalism which private sector brings with it. I have visited most of the loco sheds in India as part of my job & all are disastrous. There is no sense of accountability with govt employees, be it a UPSC recruited guy or a grade 4 employee. After one decade, if we compare performance & availability of locos made by Alstom,GE with CLW,BLW made locos ,then earlier ones will emerge as clear winner. It's not because of technology alone, quality of maintenance work is far superior than the IR's loco sheds.

I personally have seen railway employees at loco sheds bunking during office time. They have 2-3 hrs of lunch time in 8 hrs of duty. Other than that they are busy in gossips.
What I most like to observe in train videos of other countrys is how the trains reflect the design preferences of each country. Good to see how India is investing in clean and efficient transportation. Thanks for this video.

This project was proposed in Lalu's era, but as with all other projects nothing happened until Modi government came to power in 2014. UPI is also a UPA era idea, but it was Modi government who took it to next level. UPA government did nothing but dole out subsidies and freebies and revive old pension schemes as they are doing in Congress-ruled states now. There is simply no money left for infrastructure and development when your focus is only on giving free things and pushing the government sector which is good for nothing. Please give credit where it is due. Congress is still against this scheme because it is a step in the direction of privatization of Indian railways, which is again very good for the country. It is high time you guys stop looking at your religion and support congress who is dooming the country. I can understand your hatred for BJP, but at least you can stand with Mr. Kejriwal as a mindful opposition, please for god's sake, stop publicizing congress. Its mode of policies and politics is old and not fit for today's era.
