In many parts of the world, diesel-electric locomotives are the primary hauling power for trains. A diesel-electric locomotive is similar to a road vehicle in having an internal combustion engine as the primary source of power. However, the similarity ends there. Internal combustion engines operate efficiently only in a narrow rpm band. For a rail locomotive hauling over 1000 tons of loads, extracting the required torque from an internal combustion engine would require an impractical number of gears. Therefore, a diesel-electric locomotive produces electricity to run its traction motors. The mechanics involved are explained in this video “How diesel-electric locomotives work.
Wag 12 is an electric locomotive made by Alstom and is the most powerful locomotive in india it is 12000 HP electric locomotive capable of carrying freight of 6000 tonnes and having a max speed of 120 km/hr this locomotive is made Alstom through a public private partnership with Indian railways. A joint venture company called madhepura electric locomotive pvt limited was formed in bihar for the production of the locomotives in which Alstom have 74% share and Indian railways have 26% .
This video is about the New WAG-12B Locomotive Manufactured by Alstom India. A 12000 HP Dual Unit Locomotive can Pull Loaded Freight train at a Speed of 100KMPH In this video.

By far a very effective communicator on this technical topic.
I liked his free mixing of Angrezi and Hindi langauage to convey the message. I have only a working knowledge of Hindi but still got 100% of what he was telling.
His use of slides with lots of technical details made it easy to follow what he was saying. And he was comfortable with his heavy Hindi-accented English.

Sir my dad is Locopilot, he already told me a lot about it few days ago, as he told me it's name is WAG 12B locomotive. It is modified version of WAG 12, He aslo told me that trail of WAG 12 was failed that's why It was modified!
