Thanks Marek for the great video. I got a GT Line and unfortunately the seats are just like you say - after 10mins the spine is complaining! Also the sound from the speakers is soo weak. Other than that the car is just brilliant.
No idea! Can't think of anything else other than trying some ergo pillow on the bottom -looking like a grandpa's car. thinking of upgrading the speakers but think that will mess with the 7 year warranty
Marek, heated windscreen is unavailable with leather seats and/or ventilated seats because the button for ventilated seats is placed instead of the heated windscreen’s button.
I fully understand you :) I’m a big fan of mechanical buttons (I always sigh when I remember my Saabs.. ) on the other hand - empty places (vw group likes such design), Porsche always looks bit sad. It looks like that the car had a potential to be something bit more better, but somebody cut the corners and went with a cheaper solutions :)
You could map the heated windscreen to, let's say, long pressing the regular windscreen defog and a lighjt in the dashboard will appear so you know it's on. After 15 minutes, it could be turned off automatically.
I imagine that the heated windscreen may use a bit of energy that then has to be restored, and this in turn causes more emissions. In a diesel car that would be a no-no under current regulations. It's like with Lexus NX, where you can't have the panoramic roof and Mark Levinson audio on the top trim.
Thank you Marek nice review. I have a suggestion, when I buy a new car, I often check the sound system quality, some car has really crap sound and not possible to upgrade. Some sound okay when car is not moving but bass disappear on motorway due to poor sound insulation. Would it be possible you also comment that in your review? The best would be you play the same sound clip in each car and record it. So we could here the difference. Cheers.
I know what's wrong with those seats because I have similar seats: Opel's AGR garbage. After few hours test drive they seem comfortable, but after few weeks of actual usage I got pain in shoulders, legs and butt. There are 2 issues: side support near shoulders and long big side support near legs. Shoulder support causes pressure on... shoulders, which eventually leads to pain. Leg support forces both legs to stay in same position for long time, preventing driver from moving them, stopping blood flow and causing various health issues. Absolute garbage. Solved my problem by visiting car shop specialising in seats. They removed fillings near shoulder, reduced support near legs and added extra stuff near butt to make seat more on same level. Not perfect, but usable. Every few weeks browsing used car parts in Baltics and Poland hoping to see regular non-AGR driver's seat from a used car... but there aren't any yet in reasonable condition.
Hi Marek, nice review. I’m a big fan of South Korean car manufacturers, especially the Genesis. Unfortunately due to known reasons Genesis lineup is unavailable in Belgium. I wonder if there is some special reason you added ‘no clickbaits’ to the titel?
I really wonder what version you have tested, that price is quite high compared to the price in Czechia. It struck me because I ordered the XCeed last month. If I try to configure the car with the things I think you had, that is GT-Line, 1.5 T-GDI 7DCT, Packet Leather GTL (electric seats, 40:20:40 back seats, etc), Packet Premium GTL (digital cocpit+JBL sound), Packet SPAS (parking assistant) + Green color, the price in Czechia is 820 000 CZK = 33 737 EUR
I use German prices for my ENG reviews, and in Germany Japanese and Korean cars seem to be more expensive, than in our part of Europe. In Poland this costs 146 900 PLN, which is about 31.3k EUR.
Between this and the Suzuki S-Cross (1.4 Allgrip), which would you take? I'm looking at the S-Cross but I'd maybe like a car that is fun to drive on twisty roads
Thank you for your nice video! I like this car and I hope to buy one in hybrid diesel engine! I just wait in 2023 to see also new CHR of Toyota with new more powerful full hybrid engine with 140 hp like in Toyota cross! I am waiting to watch your video of new CHR or better a comparison between them!
If you like and you can! I would like you to make a video with comparison Diesel or Diesel hybrid engines vs full hybrid or electric ones! Diesel makes more kilometers 800.000 plus without problems they consume less (professional cars use Diesel) now less noisy and much more clean ( ab blue) and less complicated! Electric ones: more expensive, more heavy, few kilometers outside cities, need more time for recharge, from where electricity comes from? battery life and cost of replacing it! Thank you!
MAREK you're a star 🌟 the quips a plenty..the vw guy looking for new employment wasn't Lost 😝 poor Anna has a lot to cope with 🤣excellent review of a decent looking car but you gonna have shell out a lotta money to buy the top model...good luck with the physiotherapy 👌
Our physiotherapist comes once a month to fix whatever we "broke". I try to exercise every morning, and that helps a lot, but most of the day we spend behind our desks, so there's always a bit of tension around the lower back to work on. Sometimes a tense muscle from picking up the tripod the wrong way. Having him come to us every 4 weeks is a blessing.
There's no good single answer here. First I'd look at options, if there's some sort of acoustic windows treatment (sometimes on higher trims). Acoustic windshield is a must, and then acoustic side front windows would also be a nice addition, but those are probably reserved for D or premium segments. Then there are tires, roads in your area, etc. I found the Opel Astra surprisingly quiet, and so was the Mokka B Crossover. Give those a try.
@@MarekDrivesENG thank you for your answer Marek. I did try Mokka and it was quiet enough for me just a tiny little bit small. I will have a look at Astra, although I am not a fan of their 2 years warranty (in Finland).
Oh god - another compact SUV.... We have the travesty that is the modern Ford Puma (a slur upon the original sporty little car), a similar disgrace with the Ford Mustang MachE (no possible comparison with a 'real' Mustang) and now Kia give us their brand badge on an identikit compact SUV (it might as well be a Mazda CX30 or a VW/SEAT/Skoda/Audi whatever-model) borrowing the name from what used to be quite a swoopy model. What happened to the world? Should we not be looking for better efficiency rather than taller less wind-efficient vehicles? (With reference to the current weird brand logo)... 'kin hell....
Comes across as a good all-rounder. Another quality review.
Glad you think so!
real good reviews! so happy I found this channel. Not too long, everything said just as it is and not much jabbering about design and stuff...
Welcome aboard!

The sarcasm in reviews is good. It makes them a little more alive :)
You enable SPAS parking assistant with a long press of the parking camera button, took me a week to find that...
Marek, heated windscreen is unavailable with leather seats and/or ventilated seats because the button for ventilated seats is placed instead of the heated windscreen’s button.
I haven't thought of that. I'm used to Mitsubishi way of adding more buttons everywhere :)

I don't feel anything is missing (maybe except for AWD if someone REALLY wants it).

I have no experience in audio quality, and playing clips compressed first by editing software, and then by YT is pointless.
This (1.6T 204hp) is the same price as Golf GTI in my country, same (high) spec. Which one should I go for ?
Regular Ceed GT.
GTi. Why are you comparing Golf and XCeed, not Ceed?
Hi Marek .. Thank you for review…. Can you recommend a car without a headache 😊.
My MINI Countryman seems to do the job :)
Marek, what would you prefer - Xceed or VW T-Roc?
Assuming I don't need AWD, I'd go with the Xceed, just not GT Line.
I bought this car, I'll get him in 7-9 months
Cool!

Just be careful, because if the seat is from a car that had a serious accident, (and probably it will be) it could be structurally damaged.
E’ sufficiente acquistare la versione GT-Line Plus, che ha sedili con profili laterali e imbottiture diverse.
Hi Marek, nice review. I’m a big fan of South Korean car manufacturers, especially the Genesis. Unfortunately due to known reasons Genesis lineup is unavailable in Belgium. I wonder if there is some special reason you added ‘no clickbaits’ to the titel?
Because usually I add a clickbaity tagline in the title, but for this car, I couldn't think of anything catchy ;) It's just a decent car.
Hi Marek, what do you think about DCT 7 speed gearbox?
I try not to think about gearboxes :-)
Not Reliable. Avoided.

@@MarekDrivesENG ok
We don’t get the 204hp version here in the UK.
We only get the 6MT 1.5 TGDi and the PHEV.
6MT 1.5 TGDi is MHEV. PHEV is only AT i think
@@VanDerRocha Yes, the PHEV is a 6AT. That’s the only automatic version sold in the UK.

Time for a review here on the channel Marek.
@Da StormtroopeR we don't get those in Poland, unfortunately.
From a side view it looks like a lowered DS 7 🙄🤔
🤣
Did VW indeed sack that infotainment boffin? 3:45
That would be a good news.
There's a new CEO, and a lot of people are being sacked. The previous CEO was sacked for the software issues (among others).
Wedgy 😂😂 .. This car has the vibes of a Mercedes GLA and has the same space in the rear.
Kind of. Although in the GLA you can order a sliding bench, so legroom or cargo space. I have that on my Countryman as well. Very useful.
