William Hope lived for a brief time in my home town of Blackburn, Lancashire England. What amazes me about these books is that the authors had few references to inspire them to invent this fantasy/horror literature . They had no films, internet or phones,, a few books, etc. It's almost like its the works of a mystic. Same with Lovecraftian horror.
I thank you for the support of me, but Emily does a lot of good for Tell Tale, including making our discussions livelier than when I do them alone. She sees things a bit different than I do and I like that she doesn’t have prior experience with a lot of the old science fiction/horror/fantasy.
@@telltalebooks it sure wasn’t very clear why she was behaving in such a way but I just thought what if she is in a different timestream I think is a better way to put it. Maybe all the monsters I was thinking could possibly be normal people in another time tearing the building down in its future but if he would see them as monsters which I could be wrong there entirely but it would explain the disappearances. I do think that she thinks he is a monster though and even when he’s clearly being no threat he points out that she seems to have calmed down to his presence but is still confused as to why she’s in this building now her brother is gone and she’s being cared for by this monster who keeps locking her up and blasting away his gun from the rooftop. It’s such a weird awesome book, I could go on about it forever, this was a great review, I did also find an animated version on RUclips here that does a decent job getting through some visuals I had trouble with but it is pretty short and missing some parts.
Awesome! It's been a while so I'm forgetting the details of this, but I love your take on it, making me want to reread it. Yes it is an awesome book, very weird and not like anything I've read before. I love the deep imagination. I like your insights here and have to look up that animated film.

I think this same thing when reading classic literature
Love this description! So true.
There was a Dr Who season involving the creation of the Empire State Building and human pig hybrids.
Just read this today and I was blown away, just picked it on a whim. The entire second half.. man I don't even know what to say
Yes, I was like that too!
blessings!
Just have Greg do the reviews

Actually I thought the deal with the sister was that she saw him as a pig monster because he was infected by their realm.
Could be we misread that. Interesting.
