    I like to boil them for 8-10 minutes first then put them in the air fryer. You get the crispy on the outside and mushy-ish on the inside similar to a potato French fry.

    It's a close call with turnip but these are my favourite potato substitute vegetable! The best seasoning I have used was salt and pepper, smoked paprika, garlic and avocado oil. They work well smothered in cheese and bacon to feel like you are having cheese fries!

    In the UK we call this vegitable a ‘swede’…. SWEDE (8.62G OF CARBS PER 100G)
    While most root vegetables are extremely starchy and therefore high in carbs, the swede has a much lower carbohydrate density than most, and a mild, sweet flavour…

    Just a Carb Comparison
    Russet Potato:
    178g = 37g Carbs, 4g of Fiber = 33 net carbs per 178g
    Rutabaga:
    386g = 33g Carbs, 9g of Fiber = 24g net carbs per 386g
    Definitely much lower carb count than a russet potato, but if you do eat this, you'll have to be mindful of how much carbs you've taken for the rest of the day to not kick yourself over your carb limit.
