    Save yourself some time:
    -Clean potatoes, stab them with a fork on all sides (not too much, not necessary)
    -Put them on sheet or whatever you wanna use
    -Coat them with butter/any spices you want
    -Stick them in the oven at 350*F for 1 hour and 15 minutes

    I just made some and these are hands down the best baked potatoes I've ever had! Simple and delicious!! I cooked mine on 375 for an hour and 10 minutes. Checked on them occasionally and the last 10min I covered with foil. The skin is crunchy and so yummy!! Give it a try!

      You can brush them with vegetable oil bacon fat and put them back in the oven for 10 minutes and the skin will come out crispy

    I just cooked them in my oven just now and it took 1 hour. It depends on your oven. I made sure to check them but if still not done, an extra 10 or 15 should work! They are soooooo good! Do this exactly like Alison tells you too!

    My secret is let them cool to 140-150 inside or just guess. The thing is when you cut them open right away the moisture escapes and you need much more butter. About 145 is basically a holding temp used in restaurants. That's what we kept soup at.

    This has been my go-to way ever since I found this video. Well, ever since I found out how dangerous it is to store leftover baked potatoes in foil, that is. I guess it’s still fine to cook them wrapped in the foil, but I’d rather just use this glass pan method instead. Just wanted to come back and say that it’s also a little faster.

    How much, and why
    that much?

    • @Bokan96
      @Bokan96 4 года назад

      Don't have to be too detailed about it. Baking will kill anything bad, it's mainly for the looks of it so a simple scrub under cold water for a minute will do just fine.

    • @kittylvoe456
      @kittylvoe456 2 года назад

      Potato’s are rooted vegetables so they’re very dirty since they come out of the dirt. I actually scrub mine with a brush and you’d be amazed at how dirty they are!

    • @jessicaj.1011
      @jessicaj.1011 Год назад

      I always use my hand under lukewarm- cool water & that seems to do the job. If my bag of potatoes has a lot of dirt in it I will use a rag or something to quickly rub each potato down under the water. You can sometimes see extra dirt in the grooves on the potatoes. Otherwise they’re probably clean.

      Maybe you should have said
      “ sorry, but this might
      be a stupid question “
      and my answer was;
      “ there is no such thing
      as a stupid question “
      I’m at about 4100 feet above sea level.
      At sea level there is a shorter cooking time.
      I was looking for the time cooking, to be precise to a reliable cooking recipe.
      And the other question about scrubbing,
      has to do with if the scrubbing mentioned,
      had anything to do with,
      if the potato was organic or not.
      You asking for clarification, helps us all understand more of the subject at hand.
