Origins is the best and it’s not even close. Nothing beats Ancient Egypt & Egyptian mythology. Dark, mystery, tombs, scene atmosphere, badass animals, especially crocodiles and war elephants. Combined with Egyptian & Greek/Roman cities. Combat felt more realism compared to demigod Odyssey & Odin Valhalla, which I platinum all 3, Origins is the better AC game by far. Balanced with dessert and water. Also the length game of Origins isn’t too long like Odyssey & Valhalla, makes this game more replay able and enjoyable than too much grinding. Origins is perfect. Everyone who never played this game really missed out.
Yep, played Origins in 2019 and just loaded it up 2 days ago. Really love this game, everything balanced just right, story, exploration, graphics, fighting system. Odyssey was a grind & Valhalla too bloated. It's a shame Ubisoft stuffed up AC Shadows with Yasuke.

AC Odyssey was my first AC game. I'm about 50% done and was planning on trying Origins next. if you finish Origins you should give Odyssey a try It is so cool seeing how they created ancient Greece. also, the music and scenery is so amazing.

Yeah icr, the story is kinda cut short and starts abprubtly in the middle of the revenge story after the first few ancient order kills. Then there's also the fact that they left out the assassinations of aya, where you could heave played as her. It's kind of a shame that you couldn't switch between those two characters like in AC Syndicate.
I beat the main game and both dlc’s. I’m playing odessy rn. Origins is definitely the one to buy if you want a good story and a crazy interesting history. Who doesn’t wanna play in ancient Egypt discovering the mystery of the ancient gods.
Was about to get odyssey because it has a deal. Then found out about this version. See many folks preferring this over oddesey. Both are on sale, same price for the base game. I also see a good edition for this version. Think I'm gonna go for the gold edition. It's just $5 more, that's a deal vs the $99 on regular price

The game is still beautiful, but I laid it to rest for a while. Continued finally finishing rdr2 and now doing ghost of Tsushima.... Dang that's is beautiful as well. Still hoe they make a rdr2 PS5 patch

This is my favorite AC game. It plays well, has some of the best side quests in AC, has great combat, good stealth, and I love how well the world is built around Bayek like he is the main character no matter what. He finds himself in a new area, and he gets rid of the trouble. The only thing the game could have done is have the parkour of the colonial games. I don't want Unity again, but what was before it. 10/10 game imo.
I definitely love the combat in this game, but I actually like the combat in the proceeding games. I get it's not very assassin's creed, but it was still fun.

@a5h544 I've played the Ezio Trilogy and Black Flag and I'm also convinced Valhalla is a better game. Valhalla has far more interesting, or at least varied, environments (think Asgard, Britain, Vinland and Norway). It also has much more stuff to do, stunning graphics, combat that's by far more involved and a lot less 'parry then insta-kill'. Not to say the other AC games are bad, but Valhalla gets way too much hate. I think it just depends on what you're looking for in a game.

Valhalla is the epitome of a bloated game with soulless content and it’s very artificial in exploration and it’s open world. The other ac games offer much more complexity and although I agree that Valhalla has some beautiful environments they aren’t as detailed as Brotherhood’s recreation of Rome, Unity’s Paris or even Origins Egypt.

@LBOEIDOW605 The combat in Odyssey is awesome. It's extremely satisfying, and for me, at least, I had to get good with specific weapon types. There was a great variety of NPCs. A lot of the historical figures we got to meet were memorable to me, and there were some great quests, some good quests, and some bad quests. Every AC has some bad, good, and great quests. As I stated before, if you actually detailed the context in your reply, you'd know Kassandra/Alexios wouldn't have a hidden blade since they predate the Hidden Ones 300 years and we do know that they would go on to make one of their own that was more hidden akin to what we grew up seeing after they met Darius.
Don't waste your money it's an annoying game with no charisma on characters, Aya should be renamed to strong modern female and Bayek is crazy. Some real events, even today are labelled as terrible in the game are celebrated as happy things. There is something really wrong, games supposed to be fun an escape, remember when internet was an escape from reality? Well games used to be the same.
This just sounds like a projection of your own misery. No one cares that women terrify you, deal with it on your own time instead of whining about it publicly.
